Just rang KE and was told that some BACS payments are coming in as BACS today but some are coming in BY CHAPS today. Entries were done on a "per customer" basis whatever that means (so I am guessing there is a possibility if maybe if you are expecting more than one payment, they might arrive together? - I really don't know.) All will be in (as per their previous communications) by close of business today, but if bank (like Nationwide that i use) only updates early morning it may not show up until tomorrow/ Monday. She said many banks do update on Saturday mornings to take into account Fri payments.

The KE staff are so much pleasanter than the Nationwide staff, I really do feel sorry for them losing their jobs.

OK FURTHER TO THIS INFO FOR BACS AND CHAPS PEOPLE STILL WAITING:-

Just got past the useless Nationwide standard call centre to someone in their Banking and Savings Department. Lovely Helpful Lady!
She told me that

• Nationwide being a building society and a bit behind the times do not have the super up to date equipt that most banks do to see if BACS payments are coming in one day ahead.
• They do only see what we see on internet banking.
• She confirmed BACS is only updated with Nationwide once a day (early morning) and that there is no Sat morning update with Nationwide.
• If the money comes in as BACS, it will be Monday.
• If the money comes in as CHAPS (as KE told me today that it might), then ING have to have it initiated by 1pm and then Nationwide's own CHAPS people have to do a manual entry thing to force it through (so CHAPS is only part-automated for those querying this)
• CHAPS credits are made as and when throughout the day - the team work flat out at Nationwide manually entering them.

So summary of both phone calls:

1. If you are BACS - you could get either a BACS or CHAPS payment from ING.
2. If you are Nationwide, BACS will not appear until Monday,
3. CHAPS or BACS going as CHAPS might come in at any time today (no fixed times)
4. Nationwide need some more up to date equipt to be able to see next days BACS transactions - nothing to do with whether they are a designated clearing bank etc.

Hi everyone. Have been lurking all week but only just joined.
Has anyone received anything into a Co-op account? Nothing in mine as yet from 7/10 and spoke to Co-op this morning and they can see nothing pending for today.

Transferred via BACS from KE on 7/10 and still nothing.
I can't decide whether all the posts from people who HAVE received their cash are making me reassured or even more nervous!

My linked a/c bank tell me if a bacs xfer was coming to me today it would have shown in my a/c by one minute after midnight today-but nothing's there.I guess I have to hope I'll be a chaps xfer then,even though I didn't request that....tell you what, ING will never see my money again..

When did you request it?
Did it arrive as a bacs or a chaps?

I withdraw my money on the 2nd October and still nothing! How do you thing I am feeling!

I wouldn’t change horses in the middle of a stream. Wait until the heat is over first, unless your bank is wobbling or has fallen.

Oh no - was hoping for good news today but now filled with dread. Nothing in Halifax as yet - large BACS from KE on 7/10...

Keeping them crossed for everyone. Must keep chins up...
