Can i just confirm something - has anyone received a CHAPS from 7-OCt or later as yet?

PS To put this into perspective i pulled a ligament in my back last weekend whilst coaching a junior football team - result: 20mins to get out of bed, cant stand up straight and unable to work for 3-4 weeks min......

CHAPS is an automated system but the intiation of transactions can be manual (solicitors filling forms in) or automatic - with KE I am not sure - I suspect the transactions have been automatically created, held (or frozen) and manually checked before being released.

The tranasaction volume from KE is not really significant for CHAPS or the receiving banks but probably is for KE but they have had time to deal with this.

I suspect the 26,000 will just happen today (and are probably already 'in the system') - anything else will be manual transactions that may happen today if they can get them in the system by 2pm.

Providing I get my wonga, £20 CHAPS refund and interest paid up to today, I won’t be complaining, unless there’s a case for half a Million pound payout for the stress factor.:mad:

I am still waiting anxiously.... bank with Natwest so not sure how often they update.

Yes this would make sense with what KE told me this morning (see my earlier post). By this theory they would process as many as possible via BACs until the BACS deadline on Wed and then everyone else would have to be sent by CHAPS. It is very likely that they were still working on BACS transfers on Wed/ Thursday too so would have to send them CHAPS so that they got them through on time. Thanks for raising my optimism here ...and you aren't a miserable old so an so at all

Well I am pleased to advise my withdrawal hit my Lloyds account this morning. I also managed to speak to the Lloyds clearing team yesterday who advised me the money was on it's way.

A good conclusion to a very dodgy situation.

I just need to get my IceSave money back now. UK banks for me from now on!

No did a CHAPS on 7-10, nothing as yet in either my linked account or back in KE.
