As I've said that takes a person at each bank to deal with each request .....26,000 you say? I don't have much hope I'm afraid.

CHAPS is a MANUAL transfer between banks, it's not automated like BACS

My two KE BACS payments - one from Tuesday 7th pm, one from Wednesday 8th am - have shown up overnight in my Barclays account. Now just waiting for my Icesave money, fortunately for me not a large amount.

Tescos are offering an Internet only saver at 6.5%..instant access...no penalities for any withdrawals.

That's where some of mine is going.

I haven't received any money into my linked account yet. I am waiting for two payments one by CHAPS and the other by BACS. My linked account is NATIONWIDE and after reading these pages and with the benefit of my own disappointing experience with NWide, I shall keep the Flex Account going (so I can have the benefit of using the Nationwide debit and credit cards abroad without incurring a fee), but IN FUTURE I shall not us NATIONWIDE as a linked account - it will be either Lloyds or NatWest. I shall also save the minimum amount possible with them and pass the minimum amount through my Flex Account as well. Their secure message system is a joke, can take 5 days for them to reply and when they do it is either a fobbing off reply, an error or nonsense.

Has any body who transferred by CHAPS regardless of date received any money so far?? I did mine on 7th by CHAPS but have not received it yet.

I've just checked with HSBC re my BACS of the 7th and nothing showing for today or Monday but HSBC have said that they are in touch with ING and are expecting large influx of CHAPS this afternoon.
We can only hope!

Thankfully (and finally) I've received my money this morning. I transferred it on Monday 6th (evening) and it came out of KE on Tuesday 7th morning by BACS.

Bad news: because of Cahoot's website problems, all transactions are up to 24hrs behind in showing up and are gradually updating...


Good news: check again, my BACS of 07/10 appeared about 5 minutes ago :beer: Good luck.

The three amounts I withdrew on the 7th, 8th and 9th October arrived overnight into my RBS account. I am very relieved. Otherwise I would have needed to arrange an overdraft. This would have meant paying high fees to borrow "public" money just paid in by Mr. Darling from a Bank now about 60% owned by UK taxpayers.

There was no sign of these deposits "online" about 11pm yesterday.
