When you’ve trusted someone with half your life’s savings you expect them to look after it and not gamble with it. ING should make it a priority to keep us informed. A simple message one the website would save them mountains of calls.

My money has only been in the KE bank for 2 weeks. How angry am I with myself, for doing that?

After a cuppa, the rationalist in me is thinking it's probably OK as:

- ING is big enough to cope with the KE withdrawals without worrying whether they've bought an empty piggy bank. They must know there would be an exodus of money.

- KE, ING and Natwest (KE's clearing bank) are all guaranteed. Besides, if Gordon was prepared to bail out Icesavers (who weren't even under the guarantee), over and above the maximum 50K, then it would be bad karma to let this situation pass without doing anything.

- Transfers (once the button's pressed) are automatic and there are paper trails.

- ING do say, business as usual.


Can anybody who made withdrawals from B&B when they went under cast any light on transfers in transit?


Think I'll tackle the sherry now...;)

Same boat, please add me to list of "Limboed"...read the news on IceSave on tuesday 7 of october at 5.30pm, where I had £13,750, and panic took over. I had exactly the same amount on Kaupthing Edge. Rush back home, log on KE, CHAPS done at approx 6.40pm, seemed as CHAPS gone through, £13,783 going back to my nominated account, showing 0.00 GBP left into my Kaupthing Edge account.
At this morning, thursday 9 of october, no money back in my nominated account...yet.
All my savings have now disapperead for who knows how long.
I feel positive something will happen and we will all getting our money back,
but when?
Bills to pay will come in soon and I don't have any spare money to use...
Worried.

so if chaps at KE is down, has anyone had any success with BACS? I transferred most of my cash out on Tuesday morning because I need it (especially as I don't have IceSave).. If its not there tomorrow, I think I'll start to cry!

I've just come off the phone from the FSCS.
Our money is safe, If the money has gone from your account at KE but has not appeared in the destination bank it will be in a holding account, waiting and will be traceable. These funds are still covered by the FSCS, I was told, 100%

Also the lady said ING took over the accounts ----TOTAL. Meaning they will have full records of where your money has gone.

I BACS earlier this week, no sign - yet.
