Kaupthing Edge CHAPS Transfer

|I too did a CHAPS transfer on 7 Oct but no sign of it yet. I've not received yesterdays e-mail from ING either... The negative part of me says that maybe I will be one of the "small number" who won't get the money, but my logical head says that's very unlikely!

Thanks for all the posts and updates, it's great to know I'm not the only one

I think you'll find those who are outstanding now are mostly from Tues 7th onwards and (apart from a few poor souls) those who initiated transfers between Fri 3rd and early Mon 6th mostly got their money on Friday.

For a few Mon 6th people also the transfers do not appear to have shown up on their accounts as being removed by KE until Tues 7th and hence they are in the same boat as us. It's awful!

Sorry to go on about this, but imagine if you did not receive yours and most of others did. One for all, and all for one spirit will get each one of us through.

It will only be you if you made a duplicate transaction on your account. I.e. called them to make a transaction, saw that nothing happened and processed it again on the net. That's been mentioned a few times above. It's not some sort of random lottery to make people that have made one simple transaction wait a bit longer! That's my understanding anyway.

Actually there's a lot of very interesting statistics here:

When did people request the transfer?
How: BACS/ CHAPS?
How much for?
Have you received refund yet?

Quite a lot of stats to play with with some potentially interesting results

Just phoned HSBC (again) to see if there is anything in the pipeline. Things do usually show up the day before they go into my account. As expected, nothing showing for today or tomorrow. I will do the same again tomorrow when there is a chance that something might show for Friday. Thank goodness for free minutes on my mobile.

No "email of reassurance" received but the KE/ING website makes it clear that most will be sorted by close of play on Friday and for those which aren't I am sure it will be only be a day or two longer - painful as that will undoubtedly be.

Just as an aside, has anyone seen an ING ad on telly lately? They seemed to be on all the time before last week, now I haven't spotted one for ages. I guess with 160,00 new customers landing in their lap in one fell swoop they can save the money they'd noramlly spend on ads.

No, I haven't had an email either ...but I did get one last week welcoming me to ING

Has anyone had money trickle through this morning ?

Sorry just arrived after checking my bank account, also ckecked my KE account because I thought that if they had started processing the withdrawal date might have changed ...but still the samed date 7 Oct

Thanks - that's really useful cos Nationwide tell me they can't see if anything is in the pipeline. Don't see wy they can't if HSBC can!
