Just tried to check my Nationwide account to see if by some freak chance that the money was there.

Not only is it not there, neither is Nationwide's website....

    Hope that's temporary!
I;m logged on to NWide right now - no problem!

Reading all the above, ALL banks are basically the same, mega slow with our money. (They want to make as much accumulated interest \ profit)
I have just checked my 2 other savings accounts, Birmingham Mishires and Bradford and Bingley, where on the 8th October I instigated 2x Direct Debit Deposit requests from their sites to my Barclays current linked account.
On the 9th money left my current account and both on-line statements state that the money has been received, but unable to withdraw? Although I do not wish to, today the 14th Oct I am still unable to withdraw any funds!! They are all (banks in general) taking liberties with our money. This was a DD from my current account and not a cheque, If the funds were not there then the DD would fail. So where is the actual money if I can not withdraw after 5 working days? Investing for 5-7 days in their accounts?
Just more ranting from a frustrated saver to add to the KE \ Icesave \ banking debate

Maybe their payments had reached the clearing bank and were frozen there and able to be defrosted on Friday, however the rest of us - our money never left KE?

You know the KE T&Cs stated that they could refuse to let us have our money if they chose to for up to 60 days!

Never seen that, but it would not suprise me if that were the case 'in small print'

Cheers Terry, am just so worried at the moment. I am finding it hard to concentrate at work because I want to check the bank a/c all the time. Don't need the added complication of getting the sack for looking at the net and not working so will have to try and put it to the back of my mind.

BIG fingers crossed that your money arrives quickly too!

Think we're all in the same boat and not able to concentrate on things. I don't work at the moment. My house is like a tip at the mo! Think I could be headed for the divorce courts if I don't get some cleaning done soon - lol.
