Why is it that most people put a lot more faith in the totally mixed messages they are recieving over the phone from a group of overwhelmed, demotivated and probably un-informed and under-trained customer srvice staff MORE than the official IN WRITING announcements from HM treasury or ING? Unbelievable
I hope you are right0 -
ING Direct is continuing to work through the backlog of payments and can also confirm that customers will not lose interest because of this delay.
Lets see some evidence then!!!CHAPS 8th received 20th into HSBC A/CBACS on the 17th and 20th received 22nd into HSBC A/CCHAPS fee refunded 29/10I can survive any crisis - I have kids!!0 -

We know that we've been told our money is safe - but will only be totally safe once it's in our bank accounts. No need to get angry with people who are concerned about their savings. Chill!!0

Assuming if it does end up back in the KE accounts (which Martin seems to think it will), then I assume there will be a sudden run of CHAPS and BACS transfers out again, ended up with a similar mess as now.0

what? Am I being thick, if so I appologise (Was at the Queen concert last night so I'm sleep deprived) but is the money getting bounced back into our Kaupthung accounts now?MSE_Martin wrote: »The Problems with Chaps
We have spoken to both the FSCS and APACS, the payments organisation, and both are very confident this money will be repatriated to your Kaupthing (now ING Direct) accounts.
.
Kind regards

i see 100 pages of the thread on the horizon! not bad going atall
But if you condensed the thread down to useful posts with accurate information, removing all 'theories' and scaremongering, you'd probably be back to about 10.
I've seen all this before - I was an "investor" in the tech bubble of 2001, the forums then were just as rowdy, with name-calling aplenty with users accusing each other of being 'plants' or 'shorters'
The difference here is that your money is safe, have some patience!
