If the money is still with KE then isnt it easier to bounce it back to the KE account rather than manually process a transfer! Am I missing the point here!
At least that way we could see our well earned dosh!CHAPS 8th received 20th into HSBC A/CBACS on the 17th and 20th received 22nd into HSBC A/CCHAPS fee refunded 29/10I can survive any crisis - I have kids!!0 -
if it wasnt for the internet I think my money would be in a high st account - prob not getting as much interest - but safer....
still good to know that other people are feeling the same way/same position.
i wdnt be so annoyed if I didnt need the money to pay bills that need paying now0 -

KE are in effect customers of Natwest. Not RBS.
You buy something from PC World and try and sent it back to Dixons they will tell you to go to PC World!
Dont try and be smart unless you know what your on about!
Whos being smart one was just a question , other just a guess re chaps /bacs0 -

I genuinely feel that the internet has not changed the saftey of banks per se. It has made banking a little bit more open to fraud but then again you could be ran down tomorrow so you know its a scarey world out there!0 -

Not in my experience.
A CHAPS out of Icesave £30 was charged to the remaining balance in Icesave, not removed from the money transferred.
Missing money from KE, CHAPS £20 fee charged to the remaining balance, not from the amount transferred.0 -

With everyone ringing and emailing them I am sure that they are not intentionally ignoring you!
Just be patient and show a little bit more respect! Monkeys?! Grow up!

I did mention a few days ago that it was likely the funds would appear back in the KE accounts, seems Martin agrees...
This is the crux of my anxiety over this to be honest. ING inform me that the withdrawal I made will be honoured. It's got a BACS transaction ID (unique to BACS, not to KE so I am told), yet it's eventually coming back into my account?? That's a huge reconciliation task for any bank, let alone one that has just merged with another and resides on a separate accounting platform.
Will continue to sit cross legged, fingered and toed in a dark room with towel over my head and wait patiently!:eek:0 -
My goodness you seem to be having a pop at a lot of others who are only expressing an opinion or sharing there worried thoughts with other like minded people. This board seems to be deteriorating into a very argumentative board. What a shame that some posters seem to want to use insults towards others when i suspect we have a lot of closet worriers that are probably taking out there frustrations in the only way they know how.
Shame.
Greigster
Thing is greigster, is that we have been told that our money is safe and secure and guaranteed and everyone seems to be ignoring that advice like they know better.
People are coming up with rediculous comments that inflame the situation, scare mongering and could possibly make a bad situation worse.
Our money is safe, we will get it eventually, Take the hint and chill out! If KE went bankrupt, we would have to make a claim under FSCS which will take months and months to process.
Which would you prefer, wait a couple of weeks or possibly anything up to 6 months?!0
