Martin earns his living from helping others to save money, there are a lot worse things he could have done for a living.

I assume he is working his butt off, preparing for Wednesday’s programme, probably the biggest one since the series started.

There is a thread for knocking Martin. If you have only got half a brain cell, go and post on that one.

Umm, at the risk of showing my ignorance, which programme is this and when/where is it on?

I did catch a programme with Martin in it in March, but we were on holiday in Ludlow at the time, so can't remember which channel we were watching.
    CHAPS 8/10 received Halifax 20/10
    BACS 18/11 (£30) (actioned 19/11) received CHAPS Halifax 21/11
    BACS 24/11 (£50) (actioned 25/11) received Halifax 28/11

At the end of the day this is nothing more then shifting numbers around between computers, it's not rocket science and they're not working on ZX81's. The time delay / backlog arguments just don't cut it for me anymore.

    About 15000 pounds worth.

You'll be interested to know that I commissioned a scientific survey to establish how much time I can knock off the recovery time by posting here about how upset I am. It turns out that it won't do a damned thing.

I know, I was as surprised as you are, which is why I insisted on a recount, but blow me if 0.0 seconds didn't come back as the result again.

I'm not even sure that ING _can_ get interest on the missing KE money. To get interst they'd have to either lend it to someone, or invest it. I don't see them managing to do either of those things, given that it's missing because it's earmarked for passing on to the owners' linked accounts. They don't get interest on it just by not handing it over instantly.

The day before KE stopped trading, they had a reassuring message on their website saying that despite the current banking problems my money is safe, now it doesn’t exist.

If they want to hang on to it for a week or two, put in back into my KE account, where I can see it. I do not want several months of trying to prove I had it in the first place.

Even if someone sat down and painstakingly did each transaction with a calculator and notepad, they might only do 50 or 60 a day but at least we could see something happening. I cannot see anyone who has received their transfer, since the ING takeover.

You could ask Plod to arrest them under the terrorism laws. Gordon did.

The money IS safe under the Dutch Compensation Scheme.

I had a call from KE last night and have been told that ING are GUARANTEEING ALL transactions! There is going to be a backlog as they take over the account.

    Money is flowing. Everyone CHILL!!!!!!!!!!!!

The point is the transactions clearly aren't happening, I don't give a !!!!!! about the guarantees I want the money back in MY bank account, not with ING direct.

'Chilling' is not something I have the faintest interest in, I want my money back - and eight days is already 4 days too long for my request to be taken care of.
