From past experience in the media he is in this for the money and glory and when his reputation is under threat he hides!

Martin earns his living from helping others to save money, there are a lot worse things he could have done for a living.

I assume he is working his butt off, preparing for Wednesday’s programme, probably the biggest one since the series started.

There is a thread for knocking Martin. If you have only got half a brain cell, go and post on that one.

I feel the same way, if they could not meet their BACS obligations then why let us transfer the money from the account? It's now nearly a week (Tues am) since I asked for the money, and they haven't even sent an email apologizing/explaining.

Well, that's kind of irrelevant - BACS settlement for a payment placed on Tuesday AM would have been on the Thursday, and by that point they were already in administration and thus not in a position to.
  • Oh well 6pm deadline come and gone ! hopefully they have been sorting them all out today to post en-masse tomorrow:rolleyes: Im ever the optomist, (not)! Hope its not now RBS being the problem.Oh well at least shares are rising (just wish i had some now;)See you all tomorrow and lets hope someone gets their money!!(when you do please post news asap)Nighty night.

You get me wrong. What Martin does for us who know nothing about investments in great and he knows his stuff but when problems arise he hides his head in the sand. Why hasn't he made any comment on all these postings? I rest my case.

Currently, everyone’s knocking Martin, assuming they have lost their savings. Hopefully, we will all get every penny back. In a week or two’s time, when all the dust has settled and everyone can sleep again, this will seem like a small hiccup.

I think Martin is more likely to be getting his team of researchers burning the candle at both ends to come up with some answers on Wednesday evening, more useful than answering individual posts on here.

Think of it as a rollercoaster ride. You will get off eventually but it’s a bit scary while you’re on it.

What exactly would everyone like Martin Lewis to say? Do they think he can wave a magic wand and make their money reappear instantly? Perhaps they think he's got extra information that he's deliberately hiding from them? Seriously, I'd like to know what it is they think he can personally do to make their life better that he's not already doing.

If anyone wants to know the person ultimately repsonsible for putting their money into Kaupthing, and as such starting the chain of events that's finished with them waiting a few days to get it in a way that is probably not very convenient but is a lot more convenient than simply losing the lot (although the way people go on about it here you'd think someone had poured petrol on it and put a match to it just for the fun of it), they need only look in the mirror.

I note that people have stopped talking about IceSave - are we to take it that they don't mind waiting weeks or months for that money to come back? If so, why the constant bickering and whinging about ING/KE? They've told you what they're doing about it. They've told you it'll take a few days. The way some people whinge about how other people got their money back last week and they've not even seen any of theirs yet and it's not fair and ING are deliberately keeping it for the interest and it's fraud and they're going to go crying to the police and their local paper and on and on and on. It's like watching children squabbling over a bowl of sweets.

Obviously, your life savings have not been metamorphosised into electronic pulses and travelling round to universe as magic moonbeams like some of us have.

Imagine what you could do with £2.5 Billion for a week or two.

    About 15000 pounds worth.

You'll be interested to know that I commissioned a scientific survey to establish how much time I can knock off the recovery time by posting here about how upset I am. It turns out that it won't do a damned thing.

I know, I was as surprised as you are, which is why I insisted on a recount, but blow me if 0.0 seconds didn't come back as the result again.

I'm not even sure that ING _can_ get interest on the missing KE money. To get interst they'd have to either lend it to someone, or invest it. I don't see them managing to do either of those things, given that it's missing because it's earmarked for passing on to the owners' linked accounts. They don't get interest on it just by not handing it over instantly.
  • Guys enough with Martin and lets stick with the problem at hand. Let's not divert this thread elsewhere. It is here for emotional support and updates on chaps/bacs transfers.
