Have just found out that the Children's Hospice is Naomi House in Sutton Scotney near Winchester (for anyone who wants to make a charitable donation!)

I dont think it fair to blame the government on this one. They have looked after every personal saver in this country and done a fine job. Brown and Darling have shown great speed in helping people in a very difficult time.

I dont remember seeing any of this 'hour long meeting' discussed on here, on forums and certainly not in the newspapers or on TV.
  • Mine was a BACS on tuesday lunchtime.....still nothing......worrying weekend ahead...

Don't worry ! Enjoy your weekend , and then come Monday morning you'll see your money safely back in your bank....

    ...fingers crossed !

I’ve seen lots of successful BACS transfers but has anyone had a CHAPS go through yet?

Is some kind poster making a list of successful transfers?

Is anyone ever going to save with a foreign bank again?
  • just speaking to my bank, been told that the BoE has called for a Chaps extension this evening, whether this is linke to KE or the markets I dont know.....

....and CHAPS does not work over the weekend I am told by the CHAPS team at my bank.....

    Hope this helps,
    K.
