Unfortunately I CAN'T keep trying. Even though my login attempts timed out they were logged and now I've been locked out - quote "You have reached your maximum no of login attempt". Yeah, right. All I can do now is call the helpline. It's just annoying. :-(I just got in (5:17pm). It's not suspicious, just busy. Keep trying

That happened to me last year cause I tried three times, think that's standard protection in case someone is trying to access your account.No. I have >50k with ICICI and I don't think it's unreasonable to want to access my account and transfer funds. And I've just been locked out for trying to log in > 3 times. I find that a little suspicious.:mad:0 -
ICICI website being ******* slow and unreliable is not news, situation normal in my experience.
Last time I couldn't make a withdrawal online I 'phoned 'em up and they arranged it then and there, although it's probably a bit late for that today.Je suis Charlie.0 -
I see. Yer, you'll need to talk to the not-very-helpful helpline there

Yes, it's annoying, but the lock-out is a designed security feature and the website is working for all the other posters here who have tried it out for you. We should be clear on those points for anybody who stumbles across this thread and its exclaimation marks and concludes that the situation is worse than it really is.
Good luck

Well i've been unnerved sufficiently to access my account and set up a transfer of the bulk of my money. Just had a large transfer into my account set up the other day come through so will have to wait with baited breath for this one. Got some ISA's locked in with Icesave so can do without further sleepless nights!0

Humper - When you finally manage to make contact with ICICI do what I did. Tell them not to bother resetting you password but to transfer your balance (with interest) to your linked account and to email you when they have made sufficient investment in their infrastructure that means you can actually get to your money when you want. I am convinced that the don't invest because the situation you face plays into their hands (i.e. they hang on to your money longer).0

Just to say after a bit of a wait on the phone I have just emptied my account - been planning that anyway but current situation has got me of my @rse
Polite but slow as ever on the phone from ICICI - whose shares have gone up today - last time I checked0 -

Sorry to unnerve you, but I think the bottom line is the blatantly obvious - just limit all accounts to 50k. Or whatever the limit is on the day ;-)0 -
I've also successfully logged on to ICICI today, it was a little slower than normal, which is not altogether surprising.
I haven't actually seen anything to suggest that ICICI is in any of the problems that many banks are in (please let me know if you've seen something to the contrary), and even if it were then the funds are fully guaranteed by the FCS (unlike Icesave!).

Based on share performance your money might well be safer with ICICI than almost any European bank!0
