Excellent cleaning - at excellent value prices.0 -
I bought the vax rapide deluxe from qed. It does a really good job, not sure about carpets being dry after an hour - that sounds a bit optimistic but it's light and easily manoeuvrable. I've been happy with it. This model also comes with a hose for those hard to reach places and upholstery.0

I've just bought the Vax Rapide from lx direct, it's currently in the sale at 79.99. I found a 10 pound code so that brought it down to 69.99. The amount of time I end up cleaning my cream dining room carpet it's going to be saving me money in the long run.
I haven't tried it yet but I can't wait.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -

Ive just ordered one of the vax upright carpet cleaners from lxdirect. can I use supermarket bought carpet shampoo in it or will i have to buy vax own make. with 3 kids i usually have to clean my suite every couple of weeks and the same with the carpet. I Have a goblin 3 in 1 at the moment, which is briliant for cleaning but does my back in too and i get so hot i have to stop for a rest after 10 minutes.0

It will say in the instructions that the warranty will be invalid if you use anything other than the shampoo they recommend - think it's 4 quid or so...
...that said, I've used rugdoctor shampoo*, 2001* and good old stardrops*. (Living room carpet is cream and four years old - there were some really stubborn stains on it which when scrubbed with stardrops and vaxed up - admittedly more than once - left it near immaculate)
* against manufacturers instructions!!0 -

The bissell. I also had a vax in the past and the bissell is far better. I can do a whole house in one day and it is dry by early evening0
