  • we could ignore you but you wouldnt like it!!!! and none of this defeatist m'larky m'lady - you help us soooooo much that we are here to use your pointy stick on you and hopefully give you a prod in the right direction!!!!

I ddnt suggest the bio-med science as i thought it was too much lab/chemistry/bil - but I have to agree with the others it looks good for you - and the choices of speciality are good too - genetics etc - def worth a good hard look!

    toots xx

Have to agree with Toots - I think you were drawn to it coz it is the kind of thing you want - it means you can branch out once you've done it with lots of choices, but it is a big decision and a big committment, and like Soappie said, your choice to make alone, but know we are here to help you if we can and be there for you to bounce stuff off of.

Take a day or two to let it mull in your head, best time to think about it is just before you go to bed coz your brain works stuff out in your sleep and you may find you wake up with the answer. You have 3 weeks, which is quite a bit of time for you to find out stuff to see if it will suit you, so take that time to think and talk - and like I said, we're here if you want to rant/shout/moan/ask/cry (OK, maybe not the last one knowing you eh! :rotfl: )...

boddy and toots thank you, I'm such a stress head at the mo, it's helped actually in one way, DPs lack of motivation. DPs actually noticed I'm stressed to the excess as I haddn't even mentioned the exam and he's started studying for it, so me backing off has kicked his !!!! :rotfl:into actually doing something and now he's the one saying to me 'well just read through x y and z I've downloaded previous exam papers for you' :rotfl: tables have turned and I'm playing the stroppy teenager. I'm actually considering changing what I am doing, but I don't know what for, the Maths is starting to bore me senseless!

soappie hope you get the break you need, it's never easy making a shift when times are harsh globally aswell as nationally, which I think to be honest makes it even harder depending on which sector you work in, isn't an easy decision but I think the most important thing to consider is if it's making you unhappy, I know it sounds daft but I firmly believe money is just that, happiness is what matters the most, something we all struggle to live without as it makes us ill if we don't have it. I hope you find a way of working which makes it easier to cope with as you don't sound happy at the moment. The book sounds like a fab idea.

serena, well done on getting an avatar, sorry couldn't see it when I was using the tiny laptop earlier for some reason :o With the school, I am sure you're more than aware of how they work but I gave up making phone calls and made every serious request (other than stuff like can he please be reminded to bring his jumper etc) in writing and asked for a reply in writing. I don't care if it takes a few minutes to dictate/type, they should deal with complaints properly! Having to write a reply means they have to read it properly and offer solutions, because I won't put up with a 'ok we'll look into it' response, I need to know what they plan to do!

pigpen, with the course, you might have guessed what I am going to say. Read through the course content and do something you will enjoy for a change, it's so hard to get motivated when you're bored!

Ok, DS2 collected and he's enjoyed it a lot again, local CSO came in to do a talk about strangers (not that I think it'll sink in with DS2) he's done a word search and some basic first aid so of course now looking for small cuts to bandage. They're eating now, I decided to risk leaving oven on while I popped out which worked well. I must get some uniforms in the washing machine for DS2 ASAP or he'll be going nekkid tomorrow. Have popped a snack in the oven for me aswell which should be done now, so that and a coffee to fuel me for a while I think.

I'm actually looking forward to getting this exam over and done with, I've not had a proper break because last years break (next courses start in jan/feb) I was busy moving, so looking forward to the break from it, even if I do already have 3 meetings booked next week.......I won't want to scream when anyone uses a graph/chart/spreadsheet for the data at the meetings because I am sick of the studying with them.
One day I might be more organised...........

  • I finished my HHC and during it did some reflection. By doing this flyladying (is that the correct term) I have discovered that I am pretty good at keeping my home clean. I am just sooooooo disorganised. This is doing me the world of good.

See, we tried to tell you it takes time... glad you've realised for yourself now. It's like a weird feeling when you get there isn't it... and the disorganisation will get there too, bear with it...:T

PigPen & Mudbath .... I hope the pain from the falls goes soon.

I've been to the dr's this morning and the dentist at lunchtime, which having repaired a broken tooth, has left me feeling a bit bleurgh for the rest of the day. Ne'er mind, it'll pass.

I must fit in extra studying tonight as exam is tomorrow, so once DS2s collected I'm being mean, it's food and bed! Then I need a shower of course as won't have time tomorrow. I need to get up the A1 and to near the airport somewhere by 10am! Then try to find parking as they've said nothing can be done and they are still advising public transport, I'll be struggling to do it in a car!

Right, ok, must calm down, stop panic and breathe..................****, ****, **** can you tell I'm a bit nervous...........

Right, will get food out on a tray and set oven to preheat while I am out, then pop it in when I get back. **must stop panic** Oh and need to find DS1s spellinsg book, where the flup that is I don't know. Oh and his swimming kit, MUST remember or they'll be phoning me mid exam.

Take some deep breaths Lil_me - you will be fine, it sounds like the journey will be more stressful than the actual exam by the sounds of it - is there somewhere you can park nearby and bus/taxi in? I know not ideal, but would that help?

Will be thinking of you tomorrow, you will be fine coz you know it all - take care...

Toots, Boddy, Lil-me - thanks. Now I've decided to accept the extension I can focus more. I just need to get up in the morning and make my daily mantra "thinkof the money" :rotfl: most of the time I do like where I work - it's just been not so nice recently. But, it has settled down a bit the last week or so so maybe there's hope.

And of course, when the book is finished and published I shall be inviting you all to buy a personally signed copy :D

And Lil-me - you try and calm down this evening and focus on your exam tomorrow. I'm sure you'll be fine - sending you enormous exam busting and gold starring vibes.

lil_me - deep breaths, you can do it. Is there any way DP can take you or any public transport (sorry you've probably thought of that)

pigpen - be careful girl, I'll have a look at the courses, but the main thing is to do something that interests you!

mudbath - you be careful too, I remember how shaken I was when I fell down the stairs recently, I am still wary when I go downstairs!

soappie - glad you made the decision, probably better to be in rather than out of work currently!

Managed to collect my water bottle this morning, pleased about that. Work was ok, mainly as I spent most of the afternoon promoting a group we're starting soon - I spent the afternoon in a GP waiting room whilst they had their flu jab clinic! I have 2 other events this week so will be out and about this week but without too much stress, and leading walks is always nice :)

Am putting my feet up this evening and watching casualty, though I/we need to put clean sheets on the bed. Proper flying can wait til tomorrow or another day!!
