Bradford & Bingley INTERNET SAVER 3
Comments

Sorry to hear of the ongoing probs Chameleon,
incidentally, my application, a couple of days ago, for a NEW account, not additional, is still in process, not been opened yet, so i was a bit surprised to read here that Internet saver3 had been withdrawn,
so i'm also in limbo atm
it does seem that B&B have very short life-spans on their accounts0 -

After all these hassles, plus the fact that B&B had to be rescued, recently I closed my account with B&B all together. It is not worth it, the hassles and the risks.Vodafone sucks. :mad:0 -
I just spoke to Bradford and Bingley and told them I had just transferred to Interent Savings Issue 3 but its not on the web site. She said that this is an error and they are trying to rectify this and put it back up. She also told me that the interest is still 6.51%. I hope that this is of some help.0

Well, I'm afraid they've just lost me as a customer and the money I'd intended to deposit with them is now sitting safely in my Egg account.
Ok, it's a slightly lower interest rate at 6.3% but it's a fixed rate so I needn't worry about it, plus look what happened last time I tried chasing the highest rates with Icesave!!!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
I asked about the interest rate on Internet Saver 3 and why it had gone missing from the website. I got this reply
"The reason for you not being able to view your current rate of interest on your Internet Saver 3 is because the product has now been withdrawn and the web site has not added it to our accounts no longer available.
Unfortunately I am unable to confirm your current rate of interest in this e-mail for security reasons but if you would like to call the number below and answer some security questions we will be able to tell you the current rate."
Walls have ears and all that. So I did not tell him someone else from B&B had already confirmed the rate was still 6.51% !!!0 -

You could open one of these, and then move your money into the 6.3% fixed rate if and when the variable rate drops below that.0 -
Egg are still offering their 6.55% account (ie 4.75% variable + 1.8% bonus for 12 months).

I've not checked the T&C's of this account but it's quite usual for Egg to only allow 'new money' to be deposited in these accounts, i.e. I wouldn't be able to directly transfer from one to the other. I think I'd rather just stick to the 6.3% fixed rate account and know where I am with it - had enough hassle with bank accounts to last me a lifetime lately :rotfl:“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
I got the internet saver issue 3 just in time, as it looks like is withdrawn now. But I can't see any way when I'm logged in to my account to see what my current interest rate is (I presume if they haven't cut it yet they will do in the future). Is there any way I can find this out?0

Just been checking savings accounts and I too managed to get a B&B Internet Saver 3 account, but I notice that the rate has gone down (no notification of this) and is now 6.10% up to £50,000 and something like 6.30% over £250,000.
Hope that helps.0
