God my P*** is boiling, I only received the following e-mail from the B & B three days ago confirming the rate has not changed

    Dear Mr
Thank you for your recent enquiry.

We apologise you are unable to view the interest rate for the Interenet Saver 3, IT are aware and are doing evrything they can to have it updated on the website. I can confirm the interest rate for the Internet Saver 3 is 6.51% annual and 6.32% monthly

They were telling the truth, the rate does not change until this Sunday.

Its still a good rate and I will be keeping my money in this account and we all know rates are on the decline..

Typical just moved some money in there instead of Abbey instant account as prefer internet access rather than phone access.

Not sure I rellay like the B&B DD system anyway. 3 days to request transfer in then several more to show as cleared. Preferred ING method of transfer.

    Help with transferring money please.

I've just opened an account with a nominal amount and it's all opened okay. My question is just how do I transfer with a direct debit? I'm used to BACS transfer which seems much easier.

Sorry I'm sure this has been answered before but I can't find the exact post.

    Thanks

You cannot transfer in or out from the nominated account. You must go into your B & B account. On the left hand side is a tab that says move money. Click that then transfer any amount from or to your nominated account

Now that they've dropped the rate on the IS3 to 6.01% AER, I see they've introduced the eSavings (issue 6) account paying 6.10% AER (inc 1% bonus). Is there any reason to not open an eSavings account and simply transfer across? And if so, how straightforward is the process? (It looks as though you have to go through the full application rigmarole rather than being able to login and applying from there).

Condition 3.1.1 (of the Internet Saver 3 T&C's) prohibits this.
  • Stompa - Yeh that would be too easy wouldn't it! Minimum loss of interest etc.

    Yorkshire Boy - I didn't realise that.

Ah thanks for pointing that out, so it would have to go via the nominated account - in which case it's probably not worth it for the sake of 0.09%.

FWIW most other institutions I've banked with have allowed you to transfer instantly between accounts (with that same institution).

I have an Internet Saver 3 with B&B.

I'm thinking of opening a 1 Year eBond (Issue 39) and wondered if I would have to go through the registration process again.
    Anyone know?
