  • Tesco have bumped up the price of Soya So Good chilled milk from £1.12 to £1.28 - what's going on?

According to their website Sainsburys do 2 for £1.50 (1litre), which I make 75p each.

That's where I usually get it, I get the big catering tins, then when I open one I portion it up and freeze it, but I've just finished my last tin. Might ask DH to pop into Aldi on his way home from work.
Costco does 6-packs that work out at about 65p a can as well.
  • Value SR flour has gone from 31p last time I bought it (Probably a month ago) to 43p now.

On the subject, does anyone know where is cheapest for baked beans right now? I normally buy Tesco value but they have gone up a ludicrous amount lately.

I always used to buy Tesco own brand yoghurt, they were lovely & for 14p a bargain. Well they have gradually gone up in price & yesterday I spotted them for 38p:eek:

How about making your own yoghurt?

I wrote this on the vent board before I found this thread -

    icon1.gifTesco racketeering?
I just have to vent this!
Sunflower seeds - 300g pack were 45p. The next week they've gone up to £2.96.
I contacted Tesco and they said it had been a poor harvest and they had to pass the price on to the consumer. My googling found no indication of a bad harvest. Tesco never replied to my email re harvest.

Instead bought my supply in local Health food store at £3.23 a kilo.

Watch their prices - if I'd been on autopilot when I went in for my usual 6 packets I'd have been caught for a £15 price hike.

    =======================================================

well today I set foot in there and they've gone up again to £3.11. From 45p in November.
But they had some fudco ones at 99p for 250g, which I bought 6 packs of, but wish I hadn't, as dearer than HFS by 73p a kilo and not as plump.
Spent another £15 on reduced to clear, (toms 20p, mangoes 38p, plums 30p etc) and half price (Linda McCartney pies) so slightly pleased.

Firespire, unfortunately Nesssie doesn't have a Sainsburys anywhere near her - her options are pretty much limited to Tesco and Co-op. :(

Deanos and chalkysoil - thanks for the bean info. I was hoping someone would come up with the Morrisons deal as I'm going there today - I'd heard rumours of cheap beans!! I use mysupermarket regularly but the other site is new to me - shall go and browse and bookmark I think! Thank you!
