Another Tesco Massive Price Increase

I have a stinking cold and Tesco is right next to me, but I went to Morrisons and Iceland today.
Even being unwell and having the Tesco next to me couldn't convince me to go in.
I'll go in for the 'offers' and that's it from now on!0 -
Are any of you seeing sneaky increases by other stores?
Asda and LIDL don't appear to be doing it. Sainsbury's also seem to me to be quite consistent, although always a little more expensive.
Is it 'cos Tesco think they can get away with it? Our 2 local ones are always bunged.0 -
I always used to buy Tesco own brand yoghurt, they were lovely & for 14p a bargain. Well they have gradually gone up in price & yesterday I spotted them for 38p:eek:0

Yes honey is the big one across the board though with good reason because of the decline in bee populations caused by colony collapse disorder. This is a genuine problem though seeing how stores conceal their whats going on is an eyeopener. Hard to find affordable honey these days. All the big jars are being rebranded to smaller jars for a similar price. Smaller pots are jumping in price like mad.
Holland and barrat have no honey in my local store, supermarkets have no value brands and iceland for one is reducing the size of pots like mad.
There are areas in China where there are no bees and people have to go round pollinating plants by hand. They don't get much crop.0 -
Sainsbury's filled chocolate bars, were 200g, now 150g.
Not pacified by the fact they're now 25% less calories!Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
Sounds a bit like reduced fat coconut milk. It's exactly the same stuff but with 50% water. Same price too. Bit of a brass neck but people buy it.

I've noticed my dog food has gone up, a bog of 4 butchers choice foil trays has suddenly jumped from £1.78 to £2.09.
Please dont tell me about soft food not being good for a dogs teeth, she only has 1/2 a foil tray per day as she likes it mixed with her dry kibble and wont eat it without.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Asda cat food back down to £7 something from £9 they just put it up to recently.0

That's where I usually get it, I get the big catering tins, then when I open one I portion it up and freeze it, but I've just finished my last tin. Might ask DH to pop into Aldi on his way home from work.0
