Another Tesco Massive Price Increase

Whats the point, just shop elsewhere0

This site is moneysavingexpert.com, that means people using it want to save money. That also means people are a bit peed off when supermarkets are putting up prices by silly amounts. Naturally we have discussed it here. We can either just accept it and pay the prices (shopping elsewhere will make little difference to what you pay, they charge the same pretty much) or we can use our voices. MSE has become a very poweful tool for consumers, so doing something like a big email to Terry Leahy will make them realise we are fed up with it. It may not make any difference in the end but it will get us heard.
Sitting at your PC saying whats the point achieves nothing at all.0 -
Why should you email him to lower prices, if they cant be bothered then like i say shop elsewhere, ive been gettting quite alot from Aldi & Lidl and saving alot of money.0

Dont know if its been mentioned on this thread but Tesco strong flour for bread makers always USED to be 48p per bag just before xmas it went up to 78p, then last week back down to 48p now UP again to 68p
The yeast has also gone up from 50p to 68p
Im certainly changing my supermarket, sorry MrT your taking the micky now0 -
The winds of !!!!!! are a changing, Randy.0

I'm also convinced that the only thing going to impress T. Leary will be a mass exodus of customers from Tesco to elsewhere. Got to hit where it hurts, and that is sales and profit and nowhere else, I'afraid.
Until the shareholders gather for a little singalong of Pete Seeger's tune.
(One hears this one is getting very popular in the ROI already)
Where have all the shoppers gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the shoppers gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the shoppers gone?
Went to LIDL's, one by one.
Will Terry ever learn?

The other sly trick Tesco get up to lately is to charge differing prices for the same product at various stores. I've always rated their Value salted peanuts for ages £0.21 for a 200g packet not long ago they wacked them up to 27p shortly afterwards £0.30. Last week at their huge Brooklands Superstore they were a greedy £0.36, £0.31 in a big Croydon place yet the small local Tesco charge £0.30. I think I'll ask Sir Terry what's going on although the MSE roll over Society favour travelling 5 miles down the road and voting with my feet.0

Spot on post. I noticed the price of the peanuts rising, although i had no knowledge of the differing prices, just 36p.
I agree with what you say about the roll over society on here, why should we accept it and go elsewhere? Travelling further to save the money but pay more for travelling really makes sense doesnt it?0 -
If anyone wishes to take up this blatant profiteering with the top man his email address is
Terry.Leahy@uk.tesco.com
I'd suggest anyone reporting a Tesco rip off on this thread mails him to enquire as to how they justify it
LOL--why not just email this thread to him :rotfl: :rotfl:Dony worry,be happy...0
