LOL--why not just email this thread to him :rotfl: :rotfl:

I was thinking that it might go some way to show him/his staff that their racketeering does get up peoples backs.

Unless of course you meekly accept it, vote with your feet and forgoe some of Tescos good deals and go elsewhere for a far smaller range. I'm all for spreading my shopping about amongst Tesco, Asda, Lidl & Aldi but I won't cut off my nose to spite my face.

Why help them by emailing the guy? Shop somewhere else and make them earn their salaries by figuring it out themselves.
  • There is a middle way. You don't have to forfeit Tesco completely. Just boycott the products that have rocketed in price and get those elsewhere.

    Every little hurts.

Noticed lettuce and cucumber have really gone up in price this week (we get through lots as have two giant pet snails) - cucumber was 69p last week and was exactly a £1 today! Think we are going to start going to the local farm shop, if he did a delivery service I would use it weekly rather than the supermarket.
our guinea pigs also get through a lot of cucumber , no longer buy it from tescos as the local greengrocers/all purpose privately owned cornershops sell 2 or 3 for a pound in the winter and 4 for a pound in the summer!

Exactly which is what I do - no point in cutting them off completely but I also think we as consumers should let them know we are aware of their price hikes and rip offs. Once a line ceases to generate x amount of profit per sq foot of shelf space due to lack of sales it might make them reconsider their greeedy prices.

There's been a lot of debate on this thread about pet food price hikes, if there was a huge boycott of these products after a week or so Tesco would find their warehouse space was clogging up with non moving stock and be forced to review their prices

Some people have little choice, others genuinely like Tesco and their products. I am a mix of both. I have to choose between Tesco and Morrisons, and frankly Tesco is the lesser of two evils.

Buy what is on offer, reasonably priced, market priced there but if same is available cheaper elsewhere get it there. To be honest I find your posts meaningless

    eg

I dont see the point in still going to Tesco.

    Why not

Waste of time, vote with your feet.

Would be nice to see some Tesco stores close.

You quite clearly have no time for Tesco, don't shop there and as this thread is about alerting and highlighting Tesco's price hikes why don't you vote with your feet and head for another thread
  • I noticed today whilst doing an online shop for my parents that a pack of 3 individual trifles has gone up
over 70p in 2 weeks ,shocking stuff.
You really notice their vast prices increases more while shopping with Tesco online, I only do it for my parents as my mother is agrophobic and my fathers health is poor so they have to have it delivered once a fortnight, I hope Tesco can live with themselves in ripping off elderly sick people.I only use them myself as they accept any money off coupons and while in store I really pick and choose what I buy, I also shop at Morrisons and occasionally sainsburys. It is a mine field shopping anywhere at presant, you have to have a remarkable memory, and be on the ball to work out if something is good value or if you are being robbed.
