Brilliant new Board. I can see I'll be spending a bit of time here! Have found it nigh on impossible to find out about money savings associated with being disabled.

I don't know what anyone else thinks but perhaps we could merge certain threads- I would be happy to merge my day out threads, with say the cinema & theatre deals threads, and have it under a suitable title for example diasbled ticket deals???
Hi Hm, thats a great idea. Anyone know how to merge threads??I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
Board Guides can do this, and I'm sure as soon as Andrea has found one or two out for the new board they will get on to it!Signature removed for peace of mind0

Andrea
Can I ask why?
It doesn't have the same funny ring to it - it sounds like a board for disabled scroungers - and someone has already taken offence!
Could MSE consider turning it back the other way round? Pretty please?I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
I thought it might be nice to have a continuing cafe thread, for chat and mutual support - not for deals, which would be posted separately.
It would enable posters on the new board to get to know each other, and keep chat off the informative threads (I know it isn't an issue now, but as people get to recognise the names of regular posters, chat will creep in, and that might be a nuisance for people who are looking for specific information.
Does anyone else think this is a good idea?
If so, any suggestions for a name - I have a weird sense of humour, so I don't want to offend anyone

thanks lazydaisy, I'm glad you agree. I hope that a board guide will be able to help us. I also agree most wholeheartedly with the 'cafe thread' idea a social thread would be great.Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the world together."

Actually, I've changed my mind about merging days out with cinema and theatre deals - your days out thread is attracting a lot of posts HM, so I think it should stay as it is
But I do agree about merging similar threads - a merged cinema and theatre thread would be a good idea, for instance.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

Ah - in that case, if Disability first is a requirement for the title (which is fine, just that I hadn't 'got' that bit....), I'd prefer something like 'Disability Deals' for the name of the board.
Just to be awkward :rolleyes:I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0
