Rumour: Sainsburys selling Wii for £99 and 360 from £99 on Friday

OH has just returned home from work having gone home via 2 sainsburys who do not sell Xbox's or Wii's ... he has now nipped upto another one ...(not mentioning where til he gets home) I called the store, they have 2 left so we are going to get one. (OH already has one but this is ideal for our son who is desperate for one and at this price its good as he will still get a couple of pressies with the rest of his money ) Let you all know how we get on.

OH has just got back from Cramlington with a £99 xbox ... there are now none left at this price however they still have the more expensive 360's

Just popped into Sainsburys in Bridgend and they only had 2 Wii's in stock which flew out apparently. They took my details and said I was second on the list - don't expect a phone call when they're in though!!!! Sales assistant didn't know when the next lot would be in

Oops sorry, this wasn't from Sainsburys. I was asking other posters about an Xbox I picked up in January from the Boots.com sale. As you can imagine they definitely don't have them now.

PC world phoned my local sainsburys up to check they had stock and asked the price.

When I went into sainsburys this morning.. I asked a guy if they sold the console on its own, as the box on the shelf said £179.99 (for the wii, sports etc). He said `no, but the boxset is reduced to £149 as of today, I gave my surprised "oh is it - great Thanks" !! Then dashed to PC world !!

Well I got a wii last week from WHSMITH. They sell a wii with Tiger Woods pga 2009, wii sports and beach sports for £179.99
considering Tiger woods is £39.99 and Beach Sports is £19.99 I think their deal is better value for money than the sainsburys deal. (The WHSmith deal only appears to be instore NOT online) and if you can't find it instore get them to check up on it for you... ie scan the tiger woods, beach sport and wii console because some whsmiths aren't advertising the deal but they are all doing the deal!
