We spend about £65 a week for two of us, and that includes a couple of bottles of nice wine...! I cook everything from scratch, adapt meals depending what's on offer. It rarely costs more than £7 for a nice evening meal for the two of us, then we buy fresh orange juice, fresh bread etc... I don't like compromising on food quality.

Buying anything pre-prepared is SO expensive. Potatoes are dirt cheap, so I even make my own chips!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

There's two of us and we spend about £350 - that includes all food, cleaning products, occasional tights and anything else that comes on a supermarket delivery - as well as two budgeted take outs/eat outs and the odd freezer full of meat...we have some farmer friends and we buy a whole pig and/or lamb at a time when they have a slaughter. Works out about £100 for a whole pig and £75 for a whole lamb and we work our way through that. Our freezer is currently home to iggle piggle (well, most of him!)

If we were adding clothes then that would occasionally take it to £1k...especially if it was a "shoes and handbags" month!
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

I budget £100 a week for shopping. That's for 2 adults and 3 children (1 still in nappies) It usually comes in at £80ish, so that allows extra for household items or some clothes if there's a sale on.

We spend about £450 per month, it was £600:eek: until I joined the Old Style Grocery Challenge:beer: .

That includes all food, drink, toiletries, cleaning and newspapers for 4 adults.

If I can get it down to £350 I will be made up.

£500 for the 2 of us. Yes, it's ridiculous. Try telling my husband.

Haven't figured it out exactly, but it's probably around £300 max for two adults and a child. It's dropping since I started shopping at Lidl - got a trolley full for £28 today...

We spend rounghlt £280 a month, but I get up to £90 off that with coupons. So you're looking at about £190 for 2 adults and a 4 year old. This excludes clothes as I get them as and when sales are on for DD and for me and OH when we want them.
If you shop in Tesco or Asda its defintly worth getting all the coupons you can muster, as Tesco will take one of each coupon if you haven't brought the product,2 if you have, Asda usually take 10%, but can be more. I think Waitrose will take them too.
I also now buy a lot of value range stuff, if you try some they taste pretty similar to normal ranges', but there are some I wont buy too IYSWIM. Oh and I haven't bought toiletries for over a year, but thats another story! ;)
