I was a service engineer with NTL/VM & therefore have done hundreds of number port installs/faults (as an Installer & then service tech) over my time with them & have,to my knowledge,never come accross the situation you discribe,My take is that the original person you spoke to f***ed up & they're covering their bums!0 -
