                    hi people
just wanting advice, hubby been on incapacity benefit for a while due to depression of not seeing his kids, he seems to be getting a little better, (counsellor advised him just to move on in life without them, mother serious P.A.S. case). anyway hubby going back onto benefits soon to look for work. thing is if he gets a job, (work around here wages average £180 take home pay) he has to pay £65 a week csa, £1,480 arrears (due to the old chestnut of the mother not saying he'd given her anything when he had, never mind, lesson learnt) what can they do, as as it stands if he gets a job they will loose there home. they have tried to negotiate but csa wont move, its £65 or more.
rent for home is £75 a week, council tax £25 a week,
this is not including travel to work, food, gas, electric ect, necessary living costs.
please help, advise much appreciated, thanks.

what do people do in this situation ?0

You have a job. Surely you will be putting into the pot.
£100.00 a week for rent and c/tax is a bargain. If you re struggling then you could always do what you tell the lone parents on here to do and get a job. So you could get a second job and maybe if hubby's depression lifts he could get out more....probably sitting wallowing hasn't helped him and he should have been out and about ages ago0

emmm hello the kids arnt mine and its nothing to do with me, why should i work to provide for someone elses kids, would you ? are you saying i should work to pay csa, me a NRPP non resident parent partner ?
this isnt csa procedure, the responsibility lies with NRP.
 sensible answers please0

So why doesn't he get 2 new jobs then to pay for his kids.
If it is you and hubby why are you asking what they can do and they will lose their home.
Up for a bit late night trolling are we?!!0

because im getting muddle it is for a friend, im entitled to do that seeing as she is here, ( she doesnt have p.c. and isnt confident on them), but anyway why should this man get two jobs slog his guts out and still not be able to afford to live, you miss the point, wages around here are £180 full time job 40 hours a week, say 9-5 full time for example, even if he had the strength to work another job he couldn't afford it. he cant afford to live.
next question please, oh please bear in mind credit crunch and lack of jobs.
lucky if you can get 1
 so basically job wages £180
 csa payment £65
 rent £75
 council tax £25
 food £50
 travel £20
 gas £15
 electric £10
==== minus 80 and in debt for the first job,
so say second job £50 still in debt, how much do you have to do ? do you work to kill your self ?
it doesnt add up. government rip of basically,
but in all seriously we dont want to think this way, just want to know what to do and the original problem arises.
 wages if get job £180,
 csa £65
 rent £75
 council tax £25
leaves £15 for gas, electric, food, travel ect life not included
 sensible advise please0

BTW, I am bored tonight so am happy to play the game with you!!!
So BOTH your husbands are off on IB with depression due to not seeing their kids? jeezo...what's the chances of that eh?!
So you expect him to pay all the bills and rent and CSA out of his wage? What are you doing with your money? Cos after all jacqueline...err, jack, you got a job after being on the dole for 6 months so surely you should contribute to the household budget if not the CSA.0

No but you have previously stated before that YOUR hubby was off with depression due to lack of contact and now your chumette is. That's what I meant0

If I married a man that already had kids then yes I would. You take the man, you take the package. You don't want that then you don't go out with him/marry him.
I'm not married but I was always under the impression that it was a shared partnership in all meanings.0
