Never seems to be anything misdelivered to my house as it was brand new when we moved in :T

Being the first people to live in your house doesn't mean that Royal Mail can't misdeliver a letter to it!

If they deliver something to your house (say no 16) when it should have gone to no 6, then that is a misdelivery.

If it were addressed to a Ms Smith at your address but there is no Ms Smith living there, that is not a misdelivery because the address was correct - the Royal Mail aren't expected to know all possible names of people who may be receiving mail at every address.

A misdelivery is an item off mail delivered to the wrong person/company at the wrong address.BOTH the name AND address need to be wrong to be classed as a misdelivery

It just looks to me that little voice is saying that if the number is wrong then its classed as a misdelivery, but it is'nt.It could have the wrong number on the item but the correct name but that is'nt a misdelivery.

I live at number 14 but i've had post with my right name on but the letter is addressed to next door(number 16).Thats not a misdelivery

For the past month or so I have been receiving unsolicited letters from a financial services company using my surname and the 'test' initials I use for this survey panel.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?
