I signed up to the RM Surveys and i would like to say it has been the most complicated thing i have ever signed up for. Firstly i had to scour my whole local area and had to get all the codes and then i had to post the stuff they sent to me at the most unsociable times and if you are a student and needing free stamps please dont waste your time like i had.0

I disagree... I'm a student and I find the system providing you read the instructions and take some time to play with the system quite easy to understand and if there are any issues Joanne is a superstar on the hotline. I'm glad for the free stamps as it really does save money and also keeps the postman on his toes.
Regarding finding the postboxes - I find that walking around and getting about to post the test items is actually great exercise and something to get me out of the house a bit.
It might be weird but I actually look forward to receiving my weekly pack and preparing the items but then I love post sobut definately not a waste of time if you're willing to commit!

The timings of the postings is something I queried. Due to work I can not post something "between 10am & 1pm" (work out of town - no post boxes/post offices near work) I was told not to worry as long as day & place posted are as requested. But all my post boxes and my post office only have one collection a day anyway and they are all 5pm onwards - no wonder it doesnt matter lol!NEVER ASSUME! :rolleyes:0 -

That's a real shame. I think at first it does seem a bit complicated, I thought so anyway, but you get into the swing of it. I only have 2 postboxes and a post office on mine so you don't have to have the full 10 so that bit isn't hard.
I think also that although this thread is in the 'freebies' forum it shouldn't really be here as it isn't that- it's a job. We have to earn the stamps by doing what Kantar ask of us. Like any job, you have to earn the payment so have to be prepared to put in the effort and then get paid in stamps. They're not free. In my case I also want to do my little bit to improve the postal service, there are problems with it around here.

I too have had all my Smarts taken back and no postings for next week.
With regard to whether this is hard or not it will depend on your own work schedule and whether you have post office/boxes nearby. Sometimes I have missed times, but not too drastically. Money Saving Scot surely must have to follow simple instructions in his/her studies and will certainly have to when he/she gets a job. And no, it probably isn't a good way of earning money, but as a wee diversion and some exercise that you do at least get a reward for, it's quite good! There wouldn't be 71 pages of this thread if there weren't people who think so!0 -
To be fair they do (or they did when I joined) say only to do it if your going to be around during the day to record when the post arrives and to be able to post items at set times.
Also to be fair if its too much hard work or hassle for people then don't do it as these are not free stamps they are giving away its a reward for taking part in survey work.0 -

If you really can't post on the specified day (eg Wednesday), it is OK to post the following Wednesday but not any other day of the week.
Also, although they want the letters to be posted as the schedule, it is not a problem if, occasionally, you can't do it exactly eg at a different time or at a postbox rather than a PO as long as you record your exact posting details.
Hope that makes sense0
