... and then i had to post the stuff they sent to me at the most unsociable times...

What 'unsociable' times are they asking you to post? Before final collection? Before 10am? Between 10am-1pm? Please tell me you are not serious???

I had visions of someone walking the streets at 3am in a morning!!

The royal mail surveys and the stamps have been an absolute godsend, we save our stamps for xmas, and this yr all cards were posted, and even did 3 parcels.

Has anyone else on training not received any mailings for next week? I am just worried I may be kicked off because I couldn't post in the first week because I was away. I have posted them this week though along with this weeks mailings, so it is all up to date. I emailed them to say I was going to be away too.

I wouldn't worry not many of us have anything next week, I presume it's because of dealing with SMARTs (which if you're still in training don't worry!)..

Did you enter a holiday in the system to say you're going away? You don't need to email them it can be done in your panel.

I did both because I was accepted and then my first training pack came through a while later, 3 days before I was going away. So it was short notice.

Alright, I've got my first busy week coming up: one package a day every day. Some of them are "between 10 and 1", which as clarified above can be posted later.

How about "before 10"? I pass through the area at 5:30am on the way to work, so could I post then and have it go through properly?
If you get a posting time that says before 10 am or before final collection it is fine to post at 5am, I do this as I am out with the dog at that time, You will get a 'Resolve Query', just confirm that this is right and they will reply Query Resolved. HTH

I would think that posting at any time after the final collection the previous day would be fine, logically, for a 'before 10am' posting, however there is no official 'start time' stated anywhere. If I have a before 10am, it's usually done around 6am when I'm setting off for work...
  • I've almost always posted the "before 10am" postings the day before the appointed day after the final posting time (e.g. if Tues before 10am, I post anytime after 5.30pm on Mon) but made sure that I record it correctly on the site. I've not had any problems nor any queries so it seems to me that it is okay to do this.....
