  • I visited "parcel to go", entered my package details: 18Kg 140x77x20 cms and got a range of prices shown. I chose the cheapest, £7.99 + Vat. (would have been £9.72 inc a small fuel surcharge I was aware of) "Great" I thought.... wrong!!

When I actually booked, there was a £10 + vat surcharge???!!! Total was £21.46!!!

Why was this not shown on the quote?? Apparently I hadn't pressed the "show details" button to see the REAL price.

It seems fundamentally dishonest to me to display a price, with NO mention of surcharges, and then 'hide' the real one behind a misnamed button. It wasn't even in the small print!!

Perhaps this button should be renamed "Show the REAL Price"??

Interparcel can show accurate prices up front, so why can't "Parcel to go"?? I wonder.....

Tell all your mates - P T GO prices cannot be trusted!!!

did you have to include postcodes toget quote? as thats pos reason why
  • That's part of the course with FedEx at the moment I'm afraid.....

Well so long as it's picked up tomorrow it won't be so bad I suppose. Friday I'm back at work and no idea when my next day off to wait in for a courier will be. My buyer won't be happy!

My parcel's 18kg and it's going to the USA, I don't know anyone else that will do it for near the same price (£26).

Would cost over £100 with Royal Mail!

yes but thats another reason why caution is needed when companies have much lower prices than the majority

Despite this I would wager it will still get there quicker than if it had gone with DHL. For us it's much easier to work through problems being a business, but for private individuals I could image it's a bit of a hassle.

All part of the courier fun and games.
  • Used Parcel 2 go no problems at all. DHL pick up fine the next day and all paperwork was already printed. Very good service - and only 22p fuel surcharge on each one! (could have been worse)
I will use them again if no-one better comes along.....

i thought you now had to print your ow labels
  • DHL are changing their volumetric formula from L x W x H / 6000 to L x W x H/ 5000, this will obviously only affect those relatively light bulky items.

They didn't show today for me either. I've filled out a failed collection form asking for a collection tomorrow, but I'm really unhappy about having to wait in all day again

I didn't get to take all my other regular parcels to the PO today, I can't not take them tomorrow too. I'm just going to give up selling large lots on ebay I think, it's not worth all this hassle.

Parcel now collected, the driver apologised as his van broke down yesterday! So all's well, and it wasn't the DPD's fault.
