Confusingly DPD state both on their website:
On the Q&A it says 9am (which I believe is incorrect) and
On the order form page above in red it states 11:30am cut-off time.

Probably havent updated q an A.. its def 11.30am
I book everyday with them, although always best to book as early as pos
    ;)

Are they usually reliable? I booked with them yesterday afternoon for a collection today but no-one's been yet! Another 1hr 15m to go though I suppose. I really don't want to have to wait in all day again tomorrow!

I found Supa parcels on eBay but I can't find DirectParcelDistribution at all. Do they advertise their services on eBay at all or somewhere else?

Not on eBay. They have a website: http://www.directparceldistribution.com

update first time i have booked with dpd for collection today only a 48 hour service, no body came, had sat in waiting all day, even contact dhl who said nothing was booked in our address??

have emailed this afternoon to see where the driver is and why dhl said nothing was booked, haven't had any response yet, just had to book else where to make sure the customer get hes parcel.

not a good first good experience with them, :(
will have to move to another

They didn't show today for me either. I've filled out a failed collection form asking for a collection tomorrow, but I'm really unhappy about having to wait in all day again

I didn't get to take all my other regular parcels to the PO today, I can't not take them tomorrow too. I'm just going to give up selling large lots on ebay I think, it's not worth all this hassle.

My parcel's 18kg and it's going to the USA, I don't know anyone else that will do it for near the same price (£26).

Would cost over £100 with Royal Mail!
  • Monday and Tues there were some problems with the DHL ECR system so maybe that's been the problem? but today my collection went fine. Gregg at parcelbroker gave me £20 as an apology for missed collections which I think was brilliant seeing as it wasn't directly their fault!

They have VAt exclusive rates of £6.64 (7.80 inclusive of vat). web address is http://www.parcelbrokers.co.uk

    Mine was FedEx....

That's part of the course with FedEx at the moment I'm afraid.....
We've been using FedEx for a couple a weeks now and few observations which might be of interest.
    • Your first pick up may fail
    • The ANC operation which they took over needs a lot of attention, drivers don't even have scanners
    • The tracking in the U.K is pants, but catches up once it reaches destination country
    • Delivery time is excellent however, 3 days to the States
    • Customer service is also top notch, far superior than DHL
This is obviously through DPD and works very well for Europe and Int. but at the moment I can't see how it would work for domestic services. But it is good news someone wants to muscle in with DHL on the re-selling stakes.

Essentially once you get over early teething problems: get some waybills for non-EU shipments and the driver finds out where you are, everything goes smoothly. We're price orientated so I could live with the initial problems, if you want seamless service there's premium on that....saying that parcel machine currently have very good European rates.

FedEx's customer service team is much more customer focused then DHL and are open till 7.30pm. Deepak, Bally and Rachael are three we've had contact with and they have all be very helpful.
