Anyhow I have just ordered a new one off play.com for a 5.99 inc del.
I need a new one as mine is full up and I have more school prep and presentation bits to go on this weekend so Im going to have to dump the lot to my PC and sort out what I need until the one I ordered from Play is delivered.

word of caution - these memory sticks were handed out at all heads of english and ict courses last year, and the vast majority of them didnt work, hence there being such a lot of them still available

i ordered one too back in October, as im a teacher too, would have been great. However, i think like others i have bought one too, check out Amazon i got a really good deal.

If anyone's waiting for a memory stick, and really in need of one, it might be worth checking out the position in your school. Some schools would see it as a reimbursable cost, and pay you if you put a receipt in; others will have supplies in house at lower cost for sale to stdents and you can pick one up there cheap, or your dept may pick up the tab; others may well have stocks in-house, that they will give out to staff - as they do with pens! No promises, as local arrangements can vary, but it's worth checking out.

My husband ordered one back in Sept/Oct too, nothing has appeared.

It does say on the site:

To receive your FREE USB memory stick simply complete the form below. We will be commencing the distribution of the memory sticks in January 2009. It really is that simple!

I think there is definitely still some hope of receiving one.
