Write to Theo Pathetis, Beg on His mercy LOL
Otherwise just give up
Why theo, he doesnt own sports world, sports soccer, the person who owns them is mike ashley the newcastle owner
OP you made the mistake by letting your son wear the shirt, imo you should have taken it to the other store got a credit note then used that against the other shirt with the sponsor on, put it down to experience and dont shop there again unless you have checked the item over before you buy0 -
Thanks for all your replies, both the helpfull ones and insulting ones!! Actually the kits weren't in the store but behind the counter!! So I didn't really get chance to see it properly although I could have if I thought there would be an issue. It's not a replica by the way although you probably think you are smart by saying that. Nike cocked up and made shirts without the name on it! If I had got one of the first tops made from the Villa shop the same thing would have happened.Difference is that the Villa Shop were happy to print the sponsor name onnafterwards.I wasn't being a cheap skate but perhaps nieve. Feel free to correct my gramah if that makes you happy!!
I am sure my son isn't really bothered what he top has on the front after all he is only 6!! It's me who wanted to support our local HOSPICE....remember charity!!
To those of you who have said that I shouldn't shop in there again and questioned the ability of the staff. I agree and wont be from now on as they just don't know what they are doing. Can't blame them really they are only young kids most of them.
Once again thank you for all your advice...I will happily give up and let my lovely son wear his kit with pride! This is why I asked your advice.I guess my issue was with poor service, advice rather than the monetary issue!!
I do wonder why people are so sarcastic and damming on this site at times?0 -
DANGEROUSSPORTS
Thats just very insulting an unnecessary. I guess some people are just so sad and lonely that they just don't have anything better to do. If you have read the post properly it was about supporting a local hospice. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't care what the top was like. Do you understand now!! I apologise for any red head readers for dangeroussports post. Why dos it matter what colour ones hair is?? don't really get what he is implying. How simple some people can be!!0 -

They bought the wrong top, discovered this, wanted to exchange it and where allowed to and instead wore it a few times then tried
If anyone has a vent its the customer service staff having to deal with you0 -

If the top is made by Nike - and it is official, how about asking the stores (villa shop etc) who makes them, send them a letter with a photograph asking them if you send it to them will they print the sponsor logo onto the shirt. If they are half decent they will send you a new kit no questions asked without the need for you to send them your old one.0

"Excuse me Mr Villa please give me a free kit because I was too silly to check it"
They might print on the shirt thats it.0 -
Why should they
"Excuse me Mr Villa please give me a free kit because I was too silly to check it"
They might print on the shirt thats it.
The question is why shouldn't she ask?
Why should they? Because if it was genuinely an error in the manufacturing process and a duff batch were produced (as OP has said) then I would have thought there would be a good chance they would want to keep the customers /fans happy by changing free of charge, just like the OP says the Villa shop does.
What business is it of yours if the supplier wants to do this or not?0
