I'm using the 'Spanish Chocolate' drink from Tescos with mini marshmallows and wondered if anyone had any ideas for a 3rd ingredient?

The chocolate drops would be a bit of a waste as this stuff is liquid gold!

How about some small biscuits like macaroons or amaretti?
  • asda have choc chips and white choc chunks on 2 bags for a quid .

Home bargains have some fab teacher mugs boxed for 59p i bought all 25 that mine had on the shelf. fill em with snowman soup and sell em as teacher gifts i thought .

Anyone know where i can buy a huge can or something of hot choc?

DD2 is giving her friends snowman soup and mugs for Christmas.

We got our mugs from House of Fraser using gift cards we got free, so free mugs.

I've been in Home Bargains today and they had the bags of mini marshmallows (180g) for 69p, I saw the same one later in Sainsbury's for over £1.

I'll have to go to Asda on the way home from work on Friday for the choc chips, I've not seen any on offer so 2 packs for £1 seems good. Then we need the hot choc and cello cones. I'll check to see if Tesco's still have cadburys on offer, hopefully my sister will pick up some cones for me from lakeland and post them to me.

Oh I need canes too. I think eech part of this present will be from a different shop. It would be so much easier to just buy something but far less rewarding. DD2 thinks the snowman soup is a great idea, she's so excited by it so thanks for all of the posts.
  • Forgot to say choc chips and chunks are in the baking aisle not sweetie aisle

When putting a snowman soup together do you have to keep the marshmallows seperate from the hot chocolate? I don't have the cones, only the normal cello bags used for cards, I'm not sure how to keep them seperate though :(

Why not use a sachet of hot chocolate like this scroll down

Although Asda have the chocolate chips 2 for £1, you get 210g instead of 200g if you buy their own make chocolate buttons at 3 for £1 - Sainsbury's is even better as you get 300g for £1
  • Got my cello cones, candy canes, instant chocolate, mallows and chips and some little choclate snowmen to attach along with the curling ribbon. Just need to kick my butt into gear and make a test cone. And write the labels....grrr forgotten the coloured card!!

If its not too an embaressing effort I may post pics.

Cheers for all the tips and putting it into my head to actually do some home made fun gifts this year
