    Hi Rinroo

I am sure it would work. There is an easy recipe and presentation idea here

    http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2921/mulled-wine-kit

Wish I had thought of it as it looks so much nicer than the plain bottle of mulled wine I bought in Asda yesterday. Only concellation was that it only cost £2

I've got making my own mulled wine gift sets on my list for next year. Think it makes a lovely pressie.

Lakeland are selling a mulled wine kit that looks easy to copy (could attach the bits to a wooden spoon if whisks are hard to come by)

I am going to make this for my OH and dad as they don't like hot choc.

my cones arrived today - my mum bought them from Lakeland for me and posted them. cost £1.95 instead of £3.95 Lakeland charge!

    Hi Rinroo

You do need the muslin as it holds all the spices together. The whole lot is thrown into the heating wine then fished out before serving.

Maybe you could substitute it with some other fabric
