Hi Rinroo
I am sure it would work. There is an easy recipe and presentation idea here

Wish I had thought of it as it looks so much nicer than the plain bottle of mulled wine I bought in Asda yesterday. Only concellation was that it only cost £2
I've got making my own mulled wine gift sets on my list for next year. Think it makes a lovely pressie. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Lakeland are selling a mulled wine kit that looks easy to copy (could attach the bits to a wooden spoon if whisks are hard to come by)

SeeBee thanks for that, im going to make this and add it to my dad and step mums caravaning hamper. It looks lovely.
Do you think i need to use the butter muslin or would a cello bag work ok??0 -

Hi Rinroo
You do need the muslin as it holds all the spices together. The whole lot is thrown into the heating wine then fished out before serving.
Maybe you could substitute it with some other fabric
Ahh of course, hmm will have to hunt some down going shopping later so i'll see what i can find.
Thanks0 -
rinroo not sure if this will help or not but you can buy muslin squares from asda in the baby section ... you could cut them to make them smaller?Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0
