Snowman Soup Questions (merged)

I've finished making my snowman soup now, and wondered if anyone had actually made one up as a test. My son and I did yesterday, but neither the chocolate drops or marshmellows melted, and just formed a 'gloupy' mess at the top of the mug. Has anyone else tried and had success with the chocolate and marshmellows melting?
I've been making them way too much this last week and they are lovely. The chocolate melted completed and the marshmallows melt quite a bit too. Think I may have to have one now!!OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090 -

Hi,
just wanted to show my first attempt - really pleased with how they came out thanks to all the tips I've picked up from this thread - so many thanks to everyone.

Hi,
Thanks for that. I got the cellophane cones from ebay - the seller is http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/lovecandyfloss/ - I used those for the outside cones (I had some clear ones which I had got from Vanda on ebay which I used for the small cones to hold the drinking chocolate). They were for sale in quantities of 100 and were £7.50 with £4.50 p+p so like the other sellers of cello cones the postage was a bit OTT but the cones are nice and they arrived within a few days.

I saw these bags on Ebay tonight by a seller called redadmiral17 under wedding favours, 25 for £2.60 + £1.20 p+p. I'm just waiting to see if my friend managed to get me some from Lakeland, if not then I'll be buying these, they look fab.0

Hi,
Those look like the same ones (http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/redadmiral17/) and there's the option of a smaller quantity which might be preferable.

Oh those bags do look lovely with both those sellers but maybe a bit too much as I have a load of plain ones but they are so gorgeous made up as snowman soup!!0
