Thank YOU Sophiesmum, You truly have made our Christmas!!! :smileyhea
Hope eveybody is having a good one!! I managed finally to put the pork into slow cooker. I will have little unorthodox xmas dinner tonight: Pork, swiss cheese, tinned garden peas, roasted carrots, mashed potatoes, pickled beetroot and gherkins (sp?) mmmmmmm......."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Happy Christmas everyone. Love you all (or that may be the sherry talking, lol!)
Having lain in bed dreaming about exactly how I was going to tell DH, I did my pregnancy test this morning, but it was negative. So I had a few tears, and then he made me tell him what I'd been up to (can't keep any secrets from him). He was so sweet and gave me lots of cuddles and made everything better.
We've opened our pressies and I've had some fab books and things. I am already a quarter of the way through my first books. I love reading. Texted some friends and spoke to others. Had cuddles from DS who went through a grumpy, over-wrought stage but has now calmed down. Only had a couple (well a little more than a couple) of choccies. We're having our turkey dinner tonight - when I've recovered from the stinky chicken story, lol.
I am gloriously, happily content to do nothing! And it's a no-spend day, lol. Can't get any better.
Oodles and oodles of love to each and every one of you.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I have just stolen this off the Depression Support thread, and I think it's absolutely lovely:
Today, I wish you a day of ordinary miracles:
An unexpected phone call from an old friend
Green traffic lights on your way along
I wish you a day of little things to rejoice in:
A good sing-a-long on the radio
Your keys right where you look
It takes a minute to find a special person
An hour to appreciate them
A day to love them
An entire life to forget them
I wish you a day of happiness
And little bite sized pieces of perfection
That give you the funny feeling
That God is smiling on you
Holding you gently
Because you are someone special and you are loved:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
