You can add speed cameras which can be downloaded free from the pocketgps website, however you first have to download another program called POI Warner which costs about 30 euros.

There is a Scandisk compact flash wifi adapter, ( expensive $99), but I doubt if there will be a sd card version for this one as sd is much smaller. Not worth the expense imho. Ask on the Techie board about it as there may be a USB method.

I think this is SDIO (secure digital in/out) compliant so you should be able to pick up one of the many SD Wi-Fi cards from ebay...around £25...it should also have all the drivers necessary for the card to function.

Scandisk also make a dual SD card that is a Wi-Fi and als a 256MB SD memory card but as to the ability of the PDA to be able to work both elements at the same time I'm not sure.
  • Just bought one of these, after reading a few reviews. This is the best review: http://www.pcw.co.uk/computeractive/hardware/2013518/medion-md41800

What's the consensus on the laptops Medionshop have for sale? I don't really know a lot about laptops, yet have been given the job of sourcing a bargain for my sister.

To my untrained eye there appear to be some bargains there, P4 3.2ghz machines sub £500. That said, I'm told that P4 laptops can overheat. Could anybody recommend a great buy from their offerings, or would I be advised against it? TIA.

Yes you can add Wifi with an SD wifi card. Have used this one myself on sale on eBay (item nos 5834579783 and 5836711987) and works a treat. Obviously as it occupies the SD slot you have to take out the SD card with the maps on and slot the wifi card in.

Did a bit or research on these SD wifi cards and there are some bad ones around and some of the sellers on eBay are a bit questionable. The guy I bought mine off was excellent and I got it next day for minimal postage and his communication was very good. Asked him a couple of questions beforehand and got instant responses. Cost £31.50 plus 75p postage. Came with a useful tech support link info sheet too.

    Hope this helps.
