. OH & I supposed to be off on holiday Weds but 95% certain his leave will be cancelled & he will need to work. I'm still planning on going & am sure I will have a good time but Easter is very festive out there & we really enjoyed it last year.
That's if I manage to get there - heavy snow forecast for entire length of my journey from work to airport Weds .
This is seriously testing my new found resolve to only stress over things I can control - on the basis my 'stress hole' is already full of things I can do something about, absolutely no room for any other kind.
The good news is I got my salary increase in March's pay. Shame I'll get taxed at 40% from next month
. Have been seriously stressing about what best to do with it (see above, allowed as I can control it
). Think I'll stop paying into company pension & pay increased amount into SIPP instead, problem with that is HL have over 1,200 to choose from . 1 potato, 2 potato, 3 potato beckons methinks. 20% tax relief at source plus a nice tax rebate each year which I can bung into savings or mortgage. Plus £300 extra to mortgage each month & some extra spends for me. Just as well I didn't win the Euromillions, I couldn't cope
.
Off to not think about missing OH & snow, hope all well

Oh, poo blerrggg, pants..how rubbish is the OH/Working/Holiday thing!
Although holidaying alone sounds rather blissful. No snoring, eat/drink/read whatever you want...............hmmm, I can dream.

Holidaying alone has a lot to be recommended. I would much sooner OH was goingbut it will be a lovely break. My aim is not to think about work while I am away - am really busy in new job & could get v stressed if I let it. Miraculously though I am managing, after a 'debrief' with OH on Fri nights, to switch off so completely I forgot to send a promised email at the weekend
.
I will be reading what I want but am on diet so no unfettered eating & drinking - have lost 1/2 stone in a month, haven't found it too onerous but don't want to be silly. Will ignore bread van in the morningand try to find a fat free mayo I can disguise with lots of garlic. Will have that with lovely yummy veg instead of [STRIKE]gorgeous fresh warm crusty bread[/STRIKE] calorie laden empty carbs
. And will drink sugar free Tinto Verano (like sangria) instead of red wine
Can't guarantee no snoring either
Snow forecast changed to rain :T
Forecast for Spain is, although 'only' 18 - 20 degrees - am sure I will cope, afterall that is in the shade and I will be in the
. TBH it's being out in the brightness I'm really looking forward to - and getting my bare feet out
