Well - what progress has been made since last week......

    tumbleweed.jpg

Pause while tumbleweed clears across the screen :o.

Kitchen still not finished but what is done is lovely :). Hopefully (surely????) done this week.

Weight stayed the same. Grrr. :(

    Here's to next week :)

Have done something positive though - have increased my monthly OP DD to £700 from £470. This is in addition to the £200 OH & I pay and the £280 payment to repay the money I borrowed for my car. In theory OH should match my £700, in practice he's lagging behind (deliberately - every time I nag him I get told 'welcome to my world' as he was ahead of me for years :rotfl:). Just taking my additional payment into account has made a big difference to spreadsheets. My personal target to clear 1 mortgage by my 50th is now 'only' 5.3k short. MFiTT2 is 4.5k short. The latter should be made up, the former less likely but hey, nothing ventured etc.

The really exciting thing is what it does to the longer term position. I want to clear all mortgages by 55 & have cash pot of 100k by 60 (this is in addition to other savings, pensions etc). Current mortgage debt is 136k. Spreadsheet says all cleared by 49.75 years & 116k savings by 60 :j. In theory :o.

Well, kitchen now finished (ish :o) &, like TPA, am in lurrvvvve :). Really pleased with it and am determined to ignore the fact it makes other rooms look a bit dingy :)

Not much progress on money front, although a few bits & pieces of around £90 to mortgage savings - this is the downside of no longer doing MS, as I used to get a decent payment every week. Also, am on holiday at end of month* so won't be able to update spreadsheets till beginning of June. Doesn't exactly make it worth coming back for, but I enjoy updating them every month :). There won't be any squares to fill in this month due to last of kitchen payments but business as usual next month :).

Lost a total of 15lbs (weigh in tomorrow night, hopefully another 1 or 2lbs :D). Have got rid of a few things that don't fit me anymore :T to charity shop or ebay. Also got rid of a few things that I've kept for years but have decided now they fit me I don't like them :o.

Had a good few weeks on ebay - with above, plus stuff I bought from a clothing sale a few months ago. Need to tally it up but I think I trebled my money so will be looking out for their next sale :). Waiting on money to arrive from paypal.

Nothing else to report, all a bit boring am afraid :o

*That's if there is no ash. There had better be no ash . Oh boy, there had better be no ash :(. Although if it arrives while I am out there & I'm stranded I could probably cope ;).

Hope all have a good week :)

Thanks SMF, another 1.5lbs off tonight :j, and I (very briefly) spotted a new stone on the scales this morning :o.

Have been puffing all day at ash, seems to be working, here's hoping.

Holiday was great thanks , but home now :(. As always though I come back more determined than ever to get rid of mortgage, so that's good. Weight wise I did ok, but have been a bit cocky because of it so not had a v good few days :o.

Kitchen done (final shelf adjusted yesterday). Will upload a piccie when I find where I've tidied the camera to :o. Really, really happy with it (although that does not extend to cleaning it 4 times a day TPA :rotfl:). Discovered tonight though the lights in & under units cost 2p an hour to run so won't be using them often :rotfl:. Final cost came in at £7,292.92. That is everything, including picture, fabric to cover chairs etc (oops, must cover chairs :o). Budget was 7.5k so am well pleased, especially as I added a few things like a new freezer for pantry as I went along.

Have also put up new shed today (well, DS did ;)). Unfortunately rain started v heavy as we were nearly done so there are piles of stuff sitting on grass waiting to dry before I can out them away.

OK, financial stuff, really need to refocus on this now:

As of today, total mortgage debt is £134,723.40. Behind schedule on all challenges. Will be below 134k in a day or so when a) tenant pays rent & b) re-registration for internet banking comes through after I locked myself out of that account, so I can transfer to savings.

ISA I opened with Nwide has had money transferred in from FD. At least I hope it has - it's gone from FD but NWide is bank I'm locked out of so can't check :o.

10 items listed on ebay today. 12 watchers on 6 items (all £4.99 or £6.99 starting prices), so lot of interest & not likely to be people looking to see what they can sell similar for. Hoping to raise £50 from those.

£5 Morrisons voucher used so need to transfer £5 to savings (forgot earlier & transfers don't usually work this late).

Over £20 in coins bagged up from Peefer the Pig but DS has been dipping in so need to recount & top up before paying in.

Sent a message to Nescafe earlier via their website - all Nescafe Collection 100g coffees, including my Alta Rica, have been recalled due to possible glass contamination . According to my DD 10,000 jars have been recalled. I had 2 jars bought on offer before I went on holiday, both unopened .
