Changing six dollars into pounds

Any PO branch that is advertising a buy rate will be able to change the currency for you. AFAIK the "buy back" guarantee just means that you can change the money back at any PO branch even if it doesn't offer currency on demand.
1.9023 is a pretty dismal rate (not that I'm surprised since it's the PO). Thomas Exchange Global is offering 1.79533 at the moment. It won't make much difference to $6 but I've got quite a lot to change back and I'm hoping the rate will stay good until I have time to get myself to TEG.0 -
The rate is only dismal because its buy back, the exchange rate is much better for purchases!Moving on up
