Changing six dollars into pounds

Are you really that desperate for a couple of quid. This is a wind up - right?

It's the principle of the thing, as much as anything. I resent giving £3.60's worth of dollars to a company for £1.50. It's just wrong. Are you really that desperate for a couple of quid. This is a wind up - right?
If you had £100 of savings, would you put it in the 4% account or the 6% account? It's the same princple.0 -
The Post Office will change your money back to stirling - but you will get a much lower rate going from $ to £'s
Most travel agents will change it back too, so will M&S0 -
Hang on to the $6 if the pound goes like the Zimbabwe currency you would be the richest bloke in the street with your $6.
(Its only my cheerfulness that keeps me going)0 -
i still have $20 sitting in my wallet (2 x $10 bills) that i've had since March, because it is such a small amount, I really don't see the point changing it..
the current rate today, for changing currency from dollars to pounds, is $1.87 = £1, so for your $6, you will get something in the region of £3.21p
i've now realised that my $20 is worth a whopping £10.70!0 -
Noone will change your coin - places only accept notes.
You can try the post office, but the buy back rate is low compared to the rate you paid in the first place, and for $5 the Post Office will give you back £2.60 - if you can face the embarrasment of going in and asking for it!Moving on up
SPC #382 ~ £40 banked

I haven't got any coins - I made sure of that. My $1 is a single dollar bill.frasersmum123 wrote: »Noone will change your coin - places only accept notes.
