and noone wants to see photos of a small piece of white-painted skirting...!
Don't you believe it Beth. As long as Chester is sitting in front of it and in shot we're all happy to oooh and aaah (and we can always pretend that it's the most interesting piece of white skirting we've ever seen :rotfl: ).0 -
TomsMom :j :j at last, glad you got your tiles, hope you get lots of compensation.0

ooh the store manager from B&Q is ringing me back as I said I was very unhappy about the wait for the bathroom. I'm scared to be cheeky and ask for compensation
but I might just brave it and do it!

Yup and dont be afraid to threaten cancelling the order. That normally gets their attention0

eek! I want him to say "I'm very sorry, have the bathroom for half price" but he won't.:rotfl:
Apparently the supplier of their supplier have let them down and bath won't be available until early April!! We're not in a rush, but I did feel the more I complained, the more chance we would get of a big fat discount. I think I'm wishful thinking, but never mind, gives me a few more weeks to see if I like any of the other bathrooms that are about. Haven't found a bath like ours on any of those sites but will go to a few local bathroom place to have a look and see what they have on offer.

I'd go with something like this:
Not your problem if they have supply issues, you ordered based on the promised delivery timescale. You need the bathroom delivered so you can get on with the other work that needs done. If they cant supply it then you need to look somewhere else.0 -

I'm scared if I say this then they will say "yes, by all means you can cancel it"
Thanks for the tips guys!

So phrase it slightly differently. Say that if they cant resovle this to your satisfaction then you will have to consider cancelling and ordering from someone else.
Failing that just say its not acceptable and you want a discount for all the trouble the delay is causing you. that way you both know where you stand and if he can't/wont do something then you can threaten to cancel the order.0
