    where did my post go??

anyway spicey, congrats on completing on the bungalow. Very nice suite, and even better at half price :)

I do like the taps but I'm not sure OH will. In fact we'll definitely need to have a look and as I see they do a very plain showerbath too. shame our local one shut down but we're going to Glasgow to look at other showrooms anyway :)

Edit: I've just seen the price of the taps and probably wont bother: basin £275, bath £455

I can't get over the price of taps!!!! Unbelievable! I could buy a toilet for cheaper than my bath tap mixed with shower head! (perhaps I should buy one and flush my head down the 'hair washing' loo when I wash my hair! :D:rotfl:)

Congrats on completing Spicey - now the fun starts! Very nice bathroom suite, and isn't it lovely when you get a nice big reduction!

This is our basin tap and this is the bath tap. Again, I got the cheapest price off the 'net and asked the chap at the local shop if he would like to match it, which he did.

We had a lovely surprise just now. (Don't get excited, I'm not talking about the tiles :rotfl: OH is pacing up and down and looking out the window for them).

The builders have removed the polycarbonate roof from the conservatory and are fixing the timbers for the new slate roof which will have two Velux windows. There will be lots of insulation, two radiators and the bit of wall that is single skin now will be made double skin and they tell us it will no longer be a conservatory but a "sun room" and will be good enough to use all year round. We spoke to them yesterday about how the budget had got out of control with all the extra work they had found was necessary and today they have offered to knock down the wall between the conservatory and kitchen (only a small bit of wall and a door as can be seen here, vault the ceiling in the kitchen part to match the sun room and run the roofs of the sun room and kitchen extension together with a matching Velux so they will flow freely with no doors or walls. And they've offered to do this extra work FOC. WOW! I even got a hug and a kiss from the main man (not OH, the builder!) for agreeing.

I will try and upload some pics on my blog later on.

Have you got a link for your blog JT? I can't find it in my favourites and I usually put them there.

http://libertycottage.blogspot.com/ It is a total random witterings blog, mainly for my crafty bits but I have put some house pics on, but will put them on there. Can't face maintaining a third blog for the house :D If you click the labels on the left, it will say "New House" so I will keep all of my house pics categorised like that so it is easy to see so you don't have to wade through all my other rubbish!! I will put some pics on of our current bathroom choice but we may be changing it in light of the B&Q issues. I like the design though!

They are really nice taps :) That is really good that your builders are doing that for nout. I am still keeping my fingers crossed for the tiles.

I am SO glad our builder is a relative as he is doing it ALL FOC for us (except materials!)

Thanks Jamtart. I remember now - all pink and spotty and crafty (in the nicest possible way :D ), I did see it before. I'm a follower now and also put it in my favourites to make doubly sure I don't lose it!

By the way, what colour is the suite? It looks like avocado in the first pic but white in the second. I remember avocado - yes I was around when it came out :o .

Tomsmom nice taps. I see tile-gate is still happening, hope you get them soon. Thats good your builders doing some work FOC. We have some friends and family doing work at mates rates but only one offered FOC.

jamtart6 very pretty blog. I also old enough to remember avocado, infact I think our first house (1985) had avocado, it was very modern at the time! Also like your bathroom choice.
