Andy - you need a nice cuppa and a cuddle with your pooch. Have a relaxing soak, hope tomorrow's work isn't as hard as today's.

so pleased you've finally got them, theres nothing more frustrating (I didn't like to tell you that we didn't have any probs with our wickes tile delivery last week - next day and perfect condition, must have been first time luck with them!). x
  • Wow, I've missed loads. Everyones busy. I've been keeping up with the blogs on my google homepage...

TomsMom you seem to be updating yours nearly everyday at the moment which is great. Gives me something to nose at every morning.

The boarding is looking good at Lisa and Stuarts - remind who that is?!

House of doom - BB - now updates for a while? What's going on?

Liberty - loving the way you do your blog - very arty. Nice bathroom plans :)

And finally Bungalow Project - is that Shimmy? No updates either?

Are there any other blogs I'm missing on my google page?

Can I shamelessly plug our latest updates if you haven't seen them:

The plasterers are at my house as I type, had to buy more plaster today as the stuff we had has gone off :-( I didn't know it had a use by date! Incase anyone needs to buy any wickes are doing a good deal where you get a pretty good discount when you buy 5 packs! Its the cheapest Ive found it anywhere!

TomsMom - :THooray Im so glad they have finally turned up!

I've been catching up with everyones blogs! We are all doing so well, it gives me lots of motivation watching what you are all up to!

Got a day at the house tomorrow so hope to get lots of jobs done!

Aha, beware if you want anything else from Wickes. Our first delivery from them a month or so ago was also perfect and next day. I reckon they plan a perfect first order to suck you in (and they do have some good bargains if you check their website regularly) then once they've grabbed you WHAM! they sock you with poor service :rotfl: .

No, I'm being mean. Yes they did c*ck up with non-matching codes and not sending enough boxes, but it was probably a different person picked the order each time. But they really ought to train their staff to know that when X number of boxes of tiles are ordered together then there's a good chance it's for one room and they need to match  . And we can't really blame Wickes for the couriers damaging the pallet last week. OH has calmed down now so all's well that ends well and we almost forgive them. We'll fully forgive them when they come up with a really good gesture of goodwill :D .

Well, we can't take the credit for all the work. Have to say that our builders don't hang about, they really get stuck in and are doing a fantastic job.

We're out all day tomorrow (OH is back at the hospital for more tests, he's not looking forward to that as they hurt [bone marrow - ouch]). Some of the scaffolding at the back of the house is coming down as they're hoping to felt and batten the kitchen and sun room roof (we no longer have a conservatory, it's officially a sun room - see blog). So we wont be back in time to take photos in daylight, will have to do that on Thursday. So if the weather holds we may have slates on it by the end of the week.

I'm off to have a nosey. Glad you put your link in, the one I have in my favourites for some reason takes ages to load. Will delete and re-enter I think, see if that makes a difference.

PS - Aww, you have an Eeyore, he's my favourite (next to Heffalump). I have a lovely Eeyore cover on my mobile phone. It fell out of my coat pocket onto the concrete floor of the loo in the theatre and chipped it but you can't get them now (an ancient Nokia 3310) but I wont replace it, it's too nice! Gawd, how sad am I!

Sorry, meant to add your blog's looking good, your bedroom is lovely.

It's absolutely amazing what a difference it makes once it's plastered. And when it's turned pink you realise what was a mess not long ago is now a lovely room!

Because there's nothing to update...! We have been very lax the past couple of weeks - David's been away on business for two weekends and I was lazy and didn't do anything in his absence!
This weekend we'll hopefully get some new doors, so I'll post piccies of those... The "problem" is, there's not a lot of major work left to do, and noone wants to see photos of a small piece of white-painted skirting...!
We do have to tile the kitchen splashbacks, and completely decorate the 3rd bedroom, once the wall is fully dried out, so I will have another flurry of updates then, I guess.

In the meantime, I'm DIY-ing vicariously through you lot! Must say I'm very impressed and excited by all the newcomers and all the blogs :T

SOOOO glad the tiles finally turned up, TM - what a saga, eh?!
