  • We have a practically finished house now! It's now our home, I've been wanting to call it that for ages!

Plinths were fitted in the kitchen and just need to fit the handles once they arrive then it's done! :) Gave the porch a lick of paint so that's spruced that up too! :) Next step.. garden!!

    Sounds like some productive weekends!

No change for Mrs LC but at least the baby seems to be ok, if somewhat troublesome!

We also had a productive one - my folks are up and came along on sunday to help out. Got lots moe painting done outside, soffits and fascias round new extension just need top coat, the new soffits round old house have had one/two coats of primer. Still got to do the old guttering and fascias but that can wait. We also cut out the damaged bit of flooring in the front bedroom upstairs and found that it was completely unsupported which explains which it was collapsing. Its now got "clyde-built" support underneath it - along with everything else we could reach - and a nice new piece of chipboard in place. Also lots of painting and sanding in the sitting room (known as the backroom at the moment) which is currently the temp kitchen.

We also decided on flooring for the new kitchen and sitting room - going for Quick-step oak finish laminate - got a good deal on it online and we even managed to choose a cheap range for a change! Should hopefully be getting delivered on monday next week.

And <drum roll please> the insulated board for the kitchen finally turned up today as promised (albeit for about the 3rd time!) and they started fitting them. Hopefully that should be finished tomorrow. Roofers also turned up but there are questions over how much they are actually going to do. I was told they would do everything the original guys had signed up for but its starting to sound like they are going to do as much as the "budget" allows which means something completely different to me.

Nice wedding car suicide ... you going to BugJam?

Omg I've not been around for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages! Puppy has taken over my life and OH has been completing his Domestic Energy Assessor course which he passed YEY

We really need to get on with completing my office then the lounge. Our deadline is Xmas. Seems like a long time away but it goes so quickly (we all know that!).

Hope you are all well and houses coming along nicely.
