Terrible Spam,
I'm sat on sofa trying to do work for super important meeting tomorrow and thought I'd pop on to say OH MY GOSH! Our bathrooms pretty much there and looks AMAZING! Sink in, all grouted, bath panel in, rail plumbed in etc etc.
Andys coming back tomorrow to silicone around edge of bath, fit the tread over the tile and carpet and plane/refit door and then back on Monday after Lowri and I have painted the plastered walls over the weekend to fit the loo roll holder and cabinet etc and to supervise the leccie with the wiring up of the shower and UF heating!
Just so chuffed it's all worked so well, had the invoice today, no surprises, quality of work is excellent, he cleans up PROPERLY after him and puts his tools away in a corner. Just nice to have a positive experience of workmen, both him and our electrician have been brilliant!
Photos either later if I get this work done or tomorrow if I have time! A happy Sam! :j:beer:0 -

What else can he do? Lock him in a cupboard and only let him out when you want some more work done. Feed him, of course, but don't let him go :rotfl: .
Looking forward to seeing the pics, and I'm so pleased it's worked out well for you. Lovely to hear of a job well done :T.0 -
Did it also.
@TM - glad ot hear TD's recovery is still heading in the right direction.
Glad to hear everyone is making progress. I'm not dealing with our stuff at all apart from occassionally shouting at the appropriate person about poor quality work.
For tomorrow they are going to to finish the electrics and the showerroom plumbing upstairs. they were meant to be finishing the stairs but despite us repeatedly saying we wanted oak ballustrade etc he bought a cheap pine newel and was going to fit it yesterday to try and get his stage complete. OH told him that wasn't acceptable and it wasn't our problem that he hadn't bothered to get the correct material. Of course oak stair parts are not in stock anywhere and have a delivery time of 3-4 days.
Anyway cut a long story short he got told he could finish the plastering instead. And told he could leave if he didn't like it. So tomorrow we have the brother coming so the electrics can be checked and signed off but thats despite the head builder telling me just last week that he was part p registered...... yet another lie me thinks and I fully intend to have a barney at the younger brother tomorrow just so he knows how I feel. And seeing as I worked 80+ hours last week and was in the office until 2:20am this morning (and back in just after 9am too) I'm in the mood for it too.
Time to head home me thinks........might even get a couple of hours peace before bed and a good nights sleep0 -

Thank guys! I'm really pleased with it! Off to give it a good scrub in a mo as dust is still everywhere!
Littlerose - the door does open onto the landing. The room is so tiny it was the only way really! I thought about a pocket door but the wall it would have to slide into had the pipework for the shower in it. I'm hoping it doesn't bug me too much!0
