  • I think our bathroom is smaller than yours lisa! We just about worked it to have the door open into the bathroom

Our door swings towards the towel rail. We swapped it as it opened towards the bath which we didn't like

Lisa, that looks really nice, well done! We are going to paint ours over this weekend and hopefully put a blind up, so happy with it! Have a pic on my mobile but can't upload from work PC so will provide proper pics on Monday! :)

LOL@ all of us with tiny bathrooms!

    Hi all,

I posted a few months back to say that I was planning to join you all in Feb, subject to planning permission, and I finally got the permission today!

I know you have all been hanging out for me. ;-)

Anyway, now I am heading into the world of comparing builders, and getting quotes. Any big hints and tips I should be aware of? I have an architect and a structural engineer involved, so they will prepare the full specs.

Then to continue planning the extension, the new bedroom(s), the new kitchen, bathroom, living room, laundry room, entranceway, corridor, garden....

Lets hope my excitement and enthuasiuam at the start continues for a while at least!
  • Hi all,
Hope you all had good weekends. Ours was fairly productive .... blog updated http://seatonroad.blogspot.com

Hi kmmr ..... welcome :) sorry I can't give you any advice on builders etc as we haven't used any so have skipped all of the comparing quotes etc.

    p.s. it's snowing here today!

Hi suisidevw, remind Wickes that under the Sale of Goods Act it is THEIR responsibility to fix the problem, not Triton's. By law they must give you a replacement.
For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.

Thanks Keith. They claim it's because it's been taken out of box and mounted on wall, and I didn't take back in box (don't have it anymore?!)

    Any comment?!

Do you have the receipt? If it had been put on the wall last week and broke after one shower, would they be happy to exchange then? I'd be looking into this very thoroughly. My money's on the onus is on Wickes to replace it, especially if it's a very recent purchase.

Your blind is lovely Jimmie, finishes off the room really well. Also, well done on getting all those jobs out of the way :T.

TM, Apparently as soon as it's mounted even though it doens't work it's Tritons responsibility - doesn't bode well having a broken system in the first place?!??!
