suisidevw That peach suite brings back memories - hate to admit it but we had one :o. With three layers of tiles coming off your bathroom should be a fair bit bigger by the time it's finished!

Still at work but was hoping to leave early to see Andy at home, he's just called to say the room looks a right state so should be interesting when we get home later! :D!

Wow a robot hoover sounds fab!! Do you have a link Lisa? Might have to put one on the wedding gift list ;) x

The one we bought was this iRobot Romba 530. It wasnt cheap but we had a John Lewis voucher at the time which made it a bit better. It is really good though! Seems totally random how it goes about hoovering but it does the job! Just got a little hand held dyson for doing the stairs :-)

Suiside - It always looks worse before it gets better! Ours looked like this:

But looks much much better now :D Ill take some piccys later once ive given it a good clean! Still dust everywhere! I dont know where it keeps coming from ha ha

ooo that looks lovely! You have an eye for design! Do you have to pay garden designers to come and draw up ideas? I might give that a go too, see what the experts come up with!

thanks, took me about 2 hours:rotfl:dropping those little shrubs onto the plan. I'm not sure about the garden designers etc, there coming around for site visits, might book 3 for saturday and see what they come up with, in one hand i like the idea of someone outside designing something for me, on the other not sure i would feel completely at home witha design that someone has created themselves. worth a few hours of my time to see what they come up with though.

  • Looks good stolt. I think we've basically decided we need to fill our tiny garden with a massive shed to put all of our tools in as we don't have a garage!! maybe a bit of decking and plan finished ;)

    Flipping heck!

Our bathroom is a square room, lathe and black mortar walls, back to brickwork, one solitary peach toilet, nothing else! :D

Was a think layer of dust everywhere last night so had a hoover and dust and from today in go the electrics for UF heating and shower etc and then reboarding of the walls! VERY exciting!

@TM - glad to hear TD is making progress.

@everyone else - nice to see some pics and happy posts

Our builder woes are continuing, OH has taken over handling him as I dont have the time at the moment and wasn't being firm enough. She's used to dealing with troublesome patients and hence has no problem dealing with the builder. He doesn't know whats hit him and he's not happy but he is making progress on the things we want. Quality is still and issue and the architect has fallen out with him too as he agrees to do something to the plans and then does something else entirely. stairs, lintels and soil stack ventilation are the big issues currently .... so nothing major :D

by the end of next week we should have our dormer windows in, 2nd velux in, final fix electrics and all plastered upstairs and the boiler fully commissioned too.

On the up side by the end of today the roofers (who are fantastic) should have finished all the slating on the extension so we should be watertight. That said I think there are leaks coming in round the roof lights and the boiler flue too but it was different roofers that put down the felt. I've been told that the leaks are because the domes haven't been fitted yet but I'm not convinced. Of course if he would fit the domes we would know for sure........

you sound like you having as much fun with your builders as i did have with the ones looking after the extension. They went into liquidation and because the buidling control firm havent been paid for the inspections they wont release the the building regs until they have been paid:eek:

worse case scenario, the council could demand that the build is opened up so that they can inspect the steels in the roof and the footings!!! the worse worse case as i have heard about with someone else is that there is such a things a 2week notice of enforcement (they take the building down for you!!) although i have been assured that will not happen to mine.:(
