Is he fitting frames etc or just hanging the doors?0

For S. Wales, that's pretty expensive but Surrey could be standard. I grew up in Sussex so know how hiked the prices are!0

I guess its one of these things, if he does a good job then its not that bad for a full days work. I'd always rather pay a little more for a better job.
We have a full complient of builders on site this morning (3 that is) and they are working on the drainage to the back of the extension. they had to alter the back wall yesterday due to the change in the way the drains are being hooked up. Of course it was only when I thuoght about it last night that I realised that regardless where the new drains connect to the old, it was always going to have to come through the back wall so I guess they forgot. thankfully the wall was only up to ground level so it wasn't like they had to take down a huge amount. Mind you the 2 that were there yesterday didn't do a lot more than get the hole and lintel in place for the drain to pass through so maybe it was more work than it looked?
They are also going to drop the ground level down and hopefully the trench for drawf wall foundations but presumably not all today.0 -

Hi Lisa.. blog has been updated.. let me know what you think. And anyone else too..
Think I'm a bit nervous about feedback.. eeek!0 -
Not sure where Im up to with the tale of woe from the building inspectors. They accepted a report and then gave us their feedback and have a number of things wrong including structural calculations needed. Phoned architect he said he'd e-mail them over. 2 weeks later, heard nothing so rang him and said "we've had nothing" he swears he e-mailed them. So I've checked all my junk mail etc. not there. Ring him to ask if he could re-send - he's been burgaled and all the computers have been nicked from his workshop! Feel bad for the guy but could we be any more unlucky with this extension??
:rotfl: Gotta keep smiling though
Think we're in the serious "naffed off" stage and just want things DONE now!!!:o
