I just tried a freephone number and the message has gone. I'm not sure it was a sim update though as I haven't had one for a few days. Wondering if their system has broken. Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.0 -
hello,
i called orange and they said all the usual. I explained they are in breach but they said NO, thats its not an infinite increase
Also they said that all my 0800 was to one particular number. they said they cant get through to it and said its most likly calling card and hence i am not allowed anyway.
They are gonna call me back in the morning.
What do i tell em bout the calling card number ? I use the 0800 all the time.
thanks in advance for your help0 -
Inspiron see my post on page 2. Follow that. Not forgetting to mention you have many friends who have been given the FOC Freephone bundle and you would request the person your speaking to go and ask their supervisor.
It seems the normal customer service people are acting like they know nothing about it, but as soon as they've spoke to someone in authority suddenly they can apply it to your account.0 -
thanks. read your post.
my problem is that cust service says that all my calls are to the same 0800 number. They say its a calling card number even though they cannot access it. They say that i am not allowed to use 0800 for calling card numbers anyway.
What do i say to that ? coz i know orange dont allow it.
BUt saying that i have been with them for about 7 years and my bills are very high each month.
Also when i mention the clause, they say they are not in breach and also that orange's legal team would have known if they were.
They are callin me in the morning and i need full amo to hit them with ! thanks in advance !0 -

Is it a calling card? I don't consider 1899, 18866 18185 etc calling cards although Orange may think otherwise. Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.0 -
its a mobile account with telco
i dial the 0800 number then call landlines
its cheaper calls like calling from my bt landline0 -
Orange would consider 18185/18666/18185 as calling card services as they have done in the past with Onetel Override,First Telecom,Alpha Telecom etc etc, and various phone card suppliers. Now they are the charging for 0800,they no longer have to play cat and mouse with alternative providers, changing their 0800 access numbers.0

They offered to switch me from my current Everytime 200 to Select 500 which they said was not available anywhere, and was only available through their customer complaints dept.
I note one or two other people are on Select 500 - is it any good?0 -
I'm on everyday 50 and called Orange Customer Services last night and complained about the 10p charge to call freephone numbers. I was told that a supervisor would call me back within an hour. I received a call from the supervisor and again complained about the 10p charge. He read out the terms and conditions and said that Orange reserves the right to change prices, etc.. I told him that I know other people who have been given the freephone bundle and that I would also like this. He said that people that have been given the freephone bundle were done so, depending on their circumstances and that they should not be advertising this fact. He also said that he would be surprised if the people I know who had been given the freephone bundle were on Everyday 50 contact. Can anyone confirm that they have been given the freephone bundle on everyday 50?
He said that he had looked at my bill and noticed that I use 0800 numbers for calling cards and that is what they are trying to stop. After arguing for another 5 minutes he advised me to call back between 9-5 and speak to the customer retentions department.
If they do give me the freephone bundle will it last for 12 months or will it last until I upgrade my phone. My upgrade date is 4th December 2005. What should I do?0
